I hope they squish that but good. Remove the class information from scenarios entirely if need be. There’s no reason why actually playing with native intelligence shouldn’t be possible. How long does it take to figure out which ones are the healers or casters and which aren’t?
Anyone have any idea on how to make a shortcut to run WAR in high priority every time?
It’d be nice to not have to boot up the task manager every time I want to play.
Thanks
Are you finding it runs that much better in high? How about the stability if Windows or Vent? I also wish iknew what was causing all my ctd’s when the settings are on medium. So annoying. Busy areas make the client so unstable :/
I’m having sudden crashes at all sorts of random times. It can be hectic RvR, or I can be alone in New Emskrank, staring at a mailbox in the middle of the night. Doesn’t seem related to time running or strain on the system. It’s just truly random.
Yep perfectly stable.
Haven’t had a single crash in about 10 hours of play thus far.
Jesus Christ… the Mailbox is broken! BROKEN!!!

The mailbox is quite awful. I’m not sure why.
What determines the number/quality of bags in public quests? Sometimes there are just a bunch of green bags and sometimes there are bags a tier or two above that. I can’t figure out exactly why it differs.
PQs, the best thing about the game, are incredibly frustrating at this point. So far I’ve had trouble finding enough people around to do the first several in the early zones. Maybe everyone’s just queing up for scenarios, but it’s a shame these things are ghost towns already.

A bigger quest has better loot bags and the fewer people who contribute to a PQ the fewer and better the loot bags are.

The client is extremely stable for me. I haven’t had a single crash in 30 hours of play. I’m running Vista32 and sometimes Vent.

Quality of bags is basically random. It’ll be mostly green/white in tier 1 and solid green in subsequent tiers, with fairly common blue bags and the occasional purple or gold bag. Number of bags is determined by the difficulty. Each chapter will have 2 normal PQs (whose names appear in yellow in the PQ tracker) and 1 hard PQ (whose name appears in red). Normal PQs yield 4, hard PQs yield 7. Hard PQs might also increase the quality of the bags, or it may just have the better ones more frequently because it’s rolling up more bags at once.

I had a miserable day today in WAR. 2 tries out in T2 and got destroyed (literally I think one game was 500-40), it took me 5 tries at that annoying Welcome to Troll Country PQ
I have given up deleting old mail and auction notices that have already, finally, given up their item. What’s the point? I’ve also nearly given up on putting all the tradeskill drops on the AH… I never charge more then the default price (twice the vendor payout), but it’s getting to just not be worth the hassle.

i find i’m pretty bored with the game now and almost certainly won’t be renewing next month. The empty “real world” is just not that fun to be in. Where’s the vaunted RvR? It certainly hasnt been in any of the RvR zones I’ve been in lately.

I have been surprised at how much RvR I am finding – and that on a roleplay server (Ostenmark). Last night, I got jumped several times while traveling, then spent most of the evening defending a keep from repeated assaults. When things slowed down, I hopped into the 30-second Mourkain queue for a quick scenario. Good fun.
I’m not very far along in the game, but I hope this continues.
No it’s not, I’ve consistently seen better quality bags when PQs are done with fewer people. It ramps pretty quickly, and if you have 20ish doing a PQ all at once you’ll find (at least on the early ones) you don’t even generate a single green bag.

People are mostly “rushing” to 40 by farming scenarios as they’re the most efficient way of levelling. Of course, what they’re expecting to do at 40 is another question entirely.
They’re expecting to complain about the lack of endgame content. It seems to happen in pretty much every new MMO. I don’t know anything about WAR’s endgame, but I suspect it’s not as fleshed-out as these fast-leveling people expect.

That’s the funny thing. The “endgame” is exactly what they should’ve been doing all this time. Scenarios are a part of it, but there’s more focus on open RVR… and Tier4 is open to you in the 30s so it’s not like they’ve suddenly unlocked a previously inaccessible part of the game.
But these are MMO players, probably a big chunk of them from WoW. I think once they’re all geared up and they’ve done the scenarios and sieges several dozen times they’ll start complaining that there’s nothing to do. Hell, there are goofballs in WoW who complain, even though there’s months and months of content after hitting 70.
