Warhammer: Vermintide 2 - Left 4 Chaos

Hi everyone, I’m soondifferent and I have a Vermintide problem, my kruber is 30, Saltz is 20ish and everyone else is around level 15.

I’ll be around to play tonight at 9pm eastern if anyone wants to join.

Meet up in the Vermintidings of Great Joy discord.

Well if you have a problem I guess I have even more of a problem. My Kruber is 22, my Bardin is 26, my Kerillian is 30, my Saltzpyre is almost 25, and my Sienna is 30.

I like the elf, but she is so squishy, or maybe its just me. :p

Fun times tonight with a few of you. Double the mic efforts!

The dwarf slayer is so much fun! He is little rat killing machine. The first game I played with him, I got more kills than the rest of my team combined. However, I think that the ironbreaker might still be the better class overall, because his tankiness combos better with other classes. Still, jumping into and massacring a large group of enemies as the slayer never gets old!

Enormous Chaos Warrior: BLURG FOR NURGLE!!

Me: Face my dainty rapier, villain!

I love Salty.

Btw, someone from Fatshark commented that the loot is strictly determined by the backend, and that the datamined formulas are leftovers from a dev phase. No comment as to how closely it resembles the formula currently used in production, though I imagine this still gives us some insight has to where they’re heading (never heard of anyone getting a red from champ general’s, so it’s likely super rare or impossible, etc.)

Great.

Finished Skittergate on Champion, it’s a lot easier (though I had a fantastic group at the time).

I thought re-rolling traits was bugged, but no, it turns out you can “re-roll” the same trait like eight times in a row.

I really wish they’d fix the illusion UI. They need to tell me which illusions I’ve already extracted. Looks like there’s two or three for each weapon type.

Usually the Kerillian players I match with in Quick Play aren’t that bad, but gosh did Balasarius and I match up with a couple of those infamous meme Elf-things today. Balanced it out with my clutch solo rescue, while a Bile Troll was active as well, on Empire in Flames though. That game would have ended just past the gatehouse otherwise, but it turned into a good three tomes and one grimoire run.

You know you’re doing work if you’re topping scoreboards with Kruber (Mercenary class). One game, without Balasarius, I literally had the most special kills out of the whole team, with a freaking Handgun that has 11 ammo capacity. Not bad for a chap focused on cleaving hordes atwain as his primary job.

The elf does just insane damage, but half the people that play them think the best tactic is to run miles ahead of everyone else and then get killed by assassins/hookrats or just a wall of dudes.

Then steal and drink all the healing things before anyone else can because they’re permanently near death.

Also they need all the ammo. And potions. And everything.

So… is the Witch Hunter actually good at anything?

I feel like every other character does anything he does better. Everyone is as good or better at melee. Nearly everyone is better at range if they want to be (elf just seems better regardless). He’s not tanky at all even in his armored class. His ultimates feel like inferior versions of what other people have.

I might just be missing something, but everytime I play him I think I’d be stronger if I was the elf or Markus.

Bounty Hunter is good fun once you hit level 15. Guaranteed ranged crits every 10 seconds or less, and pretty much infinite ammo (get a volley crossbow with the scrounger trait and you can get 6 ammo back with every blessed shot.)

I agree that Witch Hunter Captain and Zealot are kind of meh though.

I’m currently like 11 with him and he just seems so… meh.

If I want to shoot people the elf and even Markus feel better at it. For melee elf and Markus again feel much stronger. The elf with her speed and Markus with his tankiness, reach and the like.

Glad to hear Bounty Hunter becomes good, since I like the idea of it.

Haha, I’ve got a friend who does this (and boasts about his score at the end) so can’t wait for Veteran and beyond to amp all the damage he’s taking. Always hook rats pulling him through the crowd he’s frantically cutting into. Your ammo point is so true as well. He was really struggling when I switched from the standard dwarf to Ironbreaker because I didn’t have the ammo passive any more.

I’m not wild about the Slayer, I’ve got to say. Fun to play but so difficult to use effectively without a ranged weapon. You’ve got to be great with dodging, blocking, pushing and positioning and know exactly when to leap in.

Bounty Hunter F deletes Chaos Warriors, or a line of Stormvermin, so that’s handy.

Just got this. This is tough. I think I’m about 60/40 in getting to the end vs getting wiped.

Interesting that most teams (I’m playing with my son and two randoms) stick together, even after a loss.

I can only take about 60-90 minutes of playing before needing to take a break. It’s pretty intense.

I’ll have time later this week to play more, is anyone still leveling up or did you all max out all the characters already?

Or are you all playing pirate in that other game? :p

I’m only level 16, but yesterday I finally managed to beat the last two levels. I had been stuck on that Bumblespue guy for a while. Failed it like ten times for various reasons. Finally had some luck with randos and managed to beat the boss fight. Beat the final mission on the first try.

Feeling like I might start experimenting with different characters now. I’ve only played Witch Hunter/Bounty Hunter so far.
