We always knew Democrats were smarter and made more money

I think you’re wrong on this.
They have at least one: Bill Gates.

His IQ is 85 I’m sure.
Oh really? Do you ever bother to educate yourself before you state an opinion Bob? Ever?

As this (and several other articles I’ve read) state, Gates doesn’t make a big deal out of his political leanings, but those that he has displayed are decidedly Democratic.

You looked up “protest” yet?

Guess who he donated to back in the 1990s?

Don’t bother the man with facts, Jason. He’s got an ideology to uphold!

Bob, you really do deserve Bush.

The reason I said I thought Jason was wrong was becuase of personal experience - I’m sure Jason stated what he did because of his own personal experience.

As to that link - he gave to liberal causes, but I don’t see where he’s given to any democratic campaigns. You can be for certain liberal causes and still be Republican you know.

Oh, I know. I don’t think my link proves by any stretch of the imagination that Bill Gates is a Democrat. It just indicates a liberal leaning in social issues. However, my link (and others I’ve read) show that Gates hasn’t openly declared his political affiliation, so Bob’s claim is patently ridiculous. Like I said, if anything, Gates appears to have a Democratic bent to him… but you’re right, it’s not conclusive.

So…in other words you don’t know shit yet you proclaim you do. No wonder you’re a Kerry supporter. You should be his running mate. Maybe he can teach you the meaning of “protest”.

Aren’t you the guy who declared that Gates is a Republican, which prompted Anax to say that no, that’s not for sure, in fact he seems to lean towards the Democratic, but isn’t open about it?

The facts are this: He’s given to Liberal causes, but he’s also given the to the GWBush Reelection campaign, but has not given to Kerry/Dean etc.

All the donations noted in the article were from several years ago, while the campaign contribution was a lot more recent. Maybe he changed his mind? Who knows, giving to a republican president going for relection certainly gives the impression of where his allegiance lies, though. As Anax said though, none of this is conclusive though.

I’m going with “giving money to whoever’s in power.” He’s clearly not a Delay republican, though. I don’t see how he can be farther to the right than Whitman, based on his donations.

So, how about them SAT scores? Mine actually went down the second time I took it. What a letdown :(
