Webcomics that may interest only me

An 8 oz. steak is about the size and shape of a hockey puck…

So he’s eaten at Tad’s in Manhattan too.

My girlfriend ran into the creator of this on IRC. It’s called THE UP-GOER FIVE TEXT EDITOR and challenges you to explain a hard idea using only the 1000 most common words. Inspired by this xkcd strip.

Another shirt.woot design.

The Oatmeal (which isn’t exactly a webcomic, or a blog, but some hybrid thereof that is obsessed with cats, Tesla, and dinosaurs) has put up a pretty awesome post about dinosaurs, Tesla, and a hotel in Colorado. I’m tempted to visit.

Erfworld has descended from potentially interesting to cringingly embarrassing over the last year. I don’t know if he’s hired some Asian writer (ie, in Asia) to illustrate, and she’s flaked out and/or is too horrified to continue, but my god, those pages and pages and pages of fanfic all about one character and her romantic inclinations. He lost the plot about 1.5 years ago, Erfworld itself had an interesting premise, but his pacing and lack of action are so terribad whatever goodness might have come out of it is completely lost when he spends 20 (illustrated) pages talking about one possible plot point and then 5 pages about everything in between.

Thanks for taking one for the team.

I still like Erfworld. Just skip the lame text chapters between the comics.

Agreed. They have progressed the plot quite a bit with the limited updates. Even the text entries seem to be moving toward a resolution, although both of them aren’t much faster than OOTS, who fell through a plate glass door with his drawing hand.

This Hijinks Ensue is great: when rednecks encounter a Canadian “socialist”.

Yay, Allie Brosh is back.

And how!

Yeah, that’s one heck of a way to make a comeback.
