Weird email messages--what would the spam purpose possibly be?

Years ago, I had somebody trying to fax to my home landline. It appears to have been set for infinite auto retry as it kept calling every 5 minutes. I finally got fed up and used the fax receive on my modem to answer the call. It turned out to be a detailed quote in response to an RFQ. If they couldn’t be arsed to check the number before faxing, too bad.

I just got this one that was just so darn cute I had to share it:

edit: So I just Googled General Mascott Bradley, and apparently this email has been around since at least 2015.

I got emails a few times intended for another person with the same exact name as me. The thing is, we lived in the same town, and went to the same university. (I was a student, he was a professor. My landlord actually worked for the guy.)

Best email evar!!!

I got a similar one the other day but in defense of it, my wife and I were searching for funeral/burial insurance for her mother.

But hey, you can compare now for free.
