Flipping channels one night… “Hurricane Festival 2010” on Palladia. I sit, transfixed by the trainwreck on the screen… WTF is this Sheiss? Just about every band seems to be college students who decided to play some sounds on a Casio calculator and become artistes. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that…) Problem is, most of this music has no rhythm, no beat, no soul, no nothing. It doesn’t help that the vocals are up front in the mix and most of them can’t sing worth crap.
Most of it is just… boring. Boring. Concerts should not be boring. The great bands of yesteryear don’t have to worry about being eclipsed…
Now get off my lawn!
