Yeah that’s just the max and it’s being used as clickbait for the story. A 17-year-old white girl with no history of issues will get off with probation and a stern warning for sure.

It’s just crazy how seriously people take nonsense stuff like being Homecoming Queen. I get it when you’re 17 and everything seems like THE MOST IMPORTANT THING EVER, but her mom should have been a calming force, not an enabling one.
