One of my favorite old games. The adventure part is so good… and then they had that weird space combat part… and you know? I was good too!

I didn’t realize that was Worf (Michael Dorn) on the cover until I looked up a gameplay video and heard his Worfy voice all Worfing it up as narrator.

I love the background music.

You guys should just play that. It is stiff and awkward and not modern… but such a good mystery,

What’s cool about Mission Critical is that it is a pretty nicely realized environment that I believe could be a real spaceship, not a video game level with spacey assets. (This was, BTW, a year after System Shock; my assumption is it wasn’t a direct inspiration.) And the puzzles are all very practical, not cat-mustachey. It’s about finding and applying the proper tools or procedures most of the time. It’s got solid technobabble, too.

EDIT: And Worf.

Autochess, Imperator Rome, Diablo 3, Grim Dawn, Age of Empires 2 - the choices are endless.

I got to spend allmost all day today buried in my rift. Flew the bejesus out of the AV-8B training. I can now VSTOL like a fucking boss.

The limited time I have this weekend shall probably be spent playing Spider-Man.

The Harrier probably really benefits from VR, along with helos—more peripheral vision than a monitor gives you helps with hovering.

For me, it’s been Home Depot Hunt and Rust Grinder: Behind the Respirator. Winter wasn’t kind to either my car or my wife’s, so I’ve been engaged in some repair work.

Yes it does, and that big bulging canopy sure makes for a fun vr experience!

Cool beans for doing the maintenance yourself man! Aint nothing as much yours as a machine you yourself work on.

Having finally gotten it working again, I’m pleased to say:

This weekend, again, will be as much

as I can fit in. Past 40 hours now, not even close to bored or burnt out.

Plus, for Space Game Junkie, this just came out:

And unlike last week’s travesty, I’m excited to cover this one. I should also be able to whip up regular entries of:

An awesome weekend, to be sure.

Just keep rubbin’ it in you bastard! ;)

This weekend I’ll be at Disneyland, maybe some ascension, star realms, or hearthstone on the tablet.

Tryin’ to keep the hype going. Thread’s been quiet of late. ;)

So when will you finally be able to stream and make videos?

EDIT: of RG: O of course.

No idear.

Think I’ll get back in to Night in the Woods. Hits a little too close to home, given how long it took me to get out of my dead-end town.

After a dozen or so hours, I think it’s time for a break from Yakuza 0 – it’s fun but might do better spacing out the episodes to cut down on the repetition rather than binging them.

Not sure what I’ll replace it with, though. Might try One-Finger Death Punch 2, or finally start Dark Souls 3, now that I’ve picked up the season pass and ultrawide support is available. Or possibly Operencia, Divinity Original Sin 2, Mutant Year Zero, or Earth Defense Force 4.1. Or just faff about playing guitar and watching movies instead. Who knows?

Mostly Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, I suppose, with little bouts of more serene stuff like Stardew Valley or Star Traders: Frontiers or Yakuza Kiwami or Anno 1404.

Heatblur F-14 and Imperator Rome.

TNK III, The Ikari Warriors games and maybe some more nostalgic trips from the SNK 40th Anniversary Collection.
