I’ve been pushing the idea for some time that Chappers is actually a classy English-accented dinosaur (Chappersaurus Rex). I sort of envision him as a larger version of Mr. Pilkington:
It’s very likely that this is only funny to me.

Maybe, time permitting, I will go back to No Man’s Sky.
Not at all - it got a sensible chuckle out of me.

New PC is now fully armed and operational, which heralds a weekend of Xtreme Dilletantism! Gotta test out a bunch of graphics-hungry games and see what I’ve been missing for the last few years on the old system (as well as stuff on Xbox gamepass that I probably wouldn’t have bought on my own). So some sampling of these:
Will any of them stick, or will I remember why I don’t usually play shooters and drift back to my playthroughs in progress of these?:
And as ridiculous as it seems with all of the above, there are games that came out in the last few months that I’m pretty sure I’ll love, but deliberately held off buying because I was planning the new system:

Summary: Thraeg will play every game ever released this weekend for 5 seconds each.
I think I will play some more Pathfinder Kingmaker this weekend. Or maybe just out a few more hours in to Titan Quest.
Actually, I have no idea.
Mainly No Man’s Sky Beyond in VR … again!
I might play some Astral Chain as well.
Oh, you found my backlog.

Somehow, instead of any of the things I thought I’d be playing, my weekend is all:

Mostly trying to finish a scenario in Cities: Skylines.
A little bit of No Mans Sky. My granddaughter loves bubbles and I found a planet full of nothing but bubbles. So exciting for her!
Played a little bit of Oxygen Not Included last night, and reinstalled Endless Legend. Now you guys are making me want to try another Divinity Original Sin 2 run, and not enough time.
Had a smidgen more of free time than I thought, so in addition to a few games of Antihero I picked up this:

I also uninstalled Battlefield V.

XCOM 2 DLC was half off recently, will be playing a bit of that. Already made a hat out of the Snake King’s head. Also started a new game of Red Dead Redemption 2, I’m poking around Horseshoe Overlook for as long as possible, trying to be as peaceful as possible while also killing and skinning every forest creature known to God or man.
Wh… what? It’s tuesday here oO

Currently in heavy rotation:
DiRT Rally 2.0 - Greece is out!
Rebel Galaxy Outlaw - joystick gaming is back baby!
Dark Souls 3 - Currently making very slow progress in Smouldering Lake
Gears 5 - Holy shit, this game is fun so far
Plants vz Zombies 2 - I play this every day, even when I fail to mention that sometimes
Medium rotation:
Forza 6 - I’m surprising myself by being addicted to a track racer again
Steamworld Dig - I finished the 2nd game, the first one isn’t as good, but it’s still addictive
Overload - Descent 4 is a f***ing blast
Low Rotation:
Dead Cells - This has been played a lot less ever since I “finished” the game once. Still great fun when I play it though
Bloodborne - How do you solve a problem like Maria?
Possibilities:
Was thinking of accompanying @legowarrior in starting Borderlands 2. I enjoyed the first one, but the zombie DLC killed my enthusiasm for the game. I should try to play 2 again, see if it’s as well written and incidentally funny as people say.
1830 with some friends in Canada via the magic of the internet. Dungeons & Dragons tomorrow. I’ll see if I can sneak in something from the backlog.

It depends on the heat. If the day isn’t too hot, I might be able to play stuff like Greedfall and Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey. Otherwise, I’ll probably play Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana or Through the Ages or any number of RPGs like Pillars of Eternity 2 or Divinity Original Sin 2. Maybe even a bit of Thea: The Awakening.
