It’s been a stealth adventure weekend. Finished up A Plague Tale which was excellent, then finally played the Left Behind DLC for Last of US since it’s on PS+ and I never got the DLC on PS3.

Working today, but Din’s Legacy has its hooks in me when I get a chance to play. I think I am up to level 24 or so on my weaponmaster/healer/ninja/defender character. I keep meaning to get back to WoW:Classic, but can’t seem to break away.
Earlier in the week the Homecoming team started up the Halloween events for City of Heroes, so yesterday I did some trick-or-treating in Paragon City.
I just purchased and installed Starsector, gonna give it a spin. Should keep me occupied for an hour or two.

This just in, Dominus Galaxia. Looking good.
Oddly, I ended up spending most of my time trying to learn to play:

I have 27 hours with that game and that still feels like all I do with it.
I mean, I can win on Intern difficulty. Yay?
Beating the manager AI means you really grasped the game’s base concepts. It is really well done.
Yeah, it’s actually quite clear about that. I’m well aware that I suck. :)
it isn’t difficult (once you do it, you have no idea how to lose like you did before, because you just play differently), but what I meant is the game is doing a really good job to push you on that way: it could try to just teach it coldly to you, but instead sort of gently let you figure it out over what can be perceived as a lengthy period of time.
The game is strangely warm for such a sci-fi setting.
The guy who made this game is prolly really smart!
It’s like the opposite of Monster Hunter, and its tons of tutorials right off the bat about stuff that won’t be relevant before you spend 100 hours and get into high tier hunts — and that aren’t reminded to you when they are finally useful -_-
Only got to play some Diablo 3 this weekend. I put the game down when I decide, “ok, this is getting old”. Then I pick it up many months later and still manage to have more fun with it.
Same, except generally it’s not even that many months later… ;)
It’s gonna be a bunch of Strike Fighters 2 for me this weekend. Loving flying an A-10 in an actually good dynamic campaign. Probably some Deep Rock Galactic solo a well.
Great weekends, sirs!
Here, more MHGU and retro goodness. I’m a bit sick and can’t play intricate stuff.

Right now I’ve got an itch that only 100 little super heroes can scratch. I’ve got my Gametablet charged up, my right thumb is primed, and I’m ready to fling people all over the damn place. Watch out Alien Robots, here I come.
This is Platinum’s best game.
When I was playing classic, innovative games when I was a kid, I used to wonder in awe at what games would be like in the future. This is that game.

I also had a hankering to go back to Doom 3, with the Redux mod that brings the textures and audio up to modern standards. It’s no Doom (2016) but it’s pretty great.
