Just cause 4. Because I want to run escort missions (the most beloved missions of them all) instead of just blowing things up like a mindless goon. [I miss just cause 2]

Also perhaps some SUPERHOT. The problem is, the game told me not to play anymore a few days ago, so I quit. I’m not sure if whatever is in that game is going to get angry and destroy my computer…or my life.

I’m hoping to finish Grim Dawn on Ultimate for the first time. Then I can take a long break from it.

If I manage to do it by tomorrow, then @espressojim’s idea of Just Cause 4 sounds pretty good. I already have it installed but haven’t launched it for the first time yet.

My wife and I got started on Minecraft Dungeons tonight.

We got a pretty good run, as she got a protection totem early on and I got a healing one. Between this and playing together, we beat the big cauldron much more easily than it went for me solo.

I think we’ll probably play through all the levels and get started on the hard mode over the weekend. Fun!

I’m playing Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition, Age of Wonders: Planetfall, and on the table some solo SpaceCorp: 2025-2300 AD.

Oh and a bit of God Eater 3 if I get time…

I am still playing Doom Eternal, on Nightmare difficulty. Still totally smitten with this game, combat remains as gleeful as ever. I might also see if I can push my Pac-Man 256 score up a little.

What movie is this from? Is it one with Will Ferrell as a time traveller?

God I hate you so much right now.

me? :O

In completely unrelated news:

That was my favorite show of all time as a kid. Even though it routinely gave me nightmares that I was stuck in a cliff-side cave face-level with a carnivorous dinosaur that kept nipping and chomping at me and trying to devour me, I loved that show. They say you can never die in your dreams, but I always dreamed I was torn apart and killed in those dreams.

Only in jest, I assure you (maybe). But to leap to the Will Ferrel version, ugh. That remake shoulda been a Daniel Day Lewis vehicle.

A film so bad it’s enjoyable. I will only watch it when I am a bit drunk and a bit sleepy. Total brain disengage :)

Back on topic, only 2 games for me.

Old World and Planetfall.

That’s a lot of 4x, damn.

Well Old World is arguably the best “4x” type game I’ve encountered since Civ 4, back in 2005/6.

That or the AoW series, although I don’t think AoW quite falls into the 4x category, although Planetfall is very close.

Both very good games and I shall be playing them extensively throughout the year.

Has Old World been updated since release? I cant figure out how to see if anything has been updated on Epic.

I think at least twice. I only notice it in game, things like sharper graphics, some more animations etc. In the Old World thread there are more diligent posters than I keeping track of things.

You should get the newest version via the Epic launcher.

Did DCS fightclub last night, and will do so again tonight. Such fun!

I just got a new gaming laptop on Tuesday and, according to Steam, I haven’t played a computer game since November, 2017 (I’ve played games on my PS4 and Switch during that time, however). So, of course, the first thing I loaded up was FTL.

I lost the disc a couple of moves ago so I headed on over to GoG and picked up a copy of Jagged Alliance 2, spent a few minutes getting it to run, and now I’ll try and liberate Arulco once again.

While there, I noticed that GoG has Deus Ex GOTY on sale for $.97 and I’ve long ago lost that disc as well so I picked that up too.

I’ve also got:

Battle Brothers
Judgement: Apocalypse Survival Simulation
Homefront: The Revolution
Wasteland 2

installed and will likely load one or more of those up at some point.

I intend to continue learning Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead so I am fully prepared for the dark days ahead.

For physical games, I will continue my campaign with Aragorn and Legolas in LoTR: Journeys in Middle Earth. And my wife and I will take another stab at Viticulture.
