I still don’t understand how “the weekend” even factors into this - why isn’t it just “what are you playing?” or “what have you played lately?”
All truly excellent choices in my book. ;)

My company went bankrupt and I lost the game.
But it turns out the campaign is about earning enough money to bail your former business colleague out of jail. So I’ll just pretend that was the prologue.
And yep, that’s the Salton Sea. Always a relief when someone recognizes a spot on the map. ;)
Again, this weekend I ain’t playing Jack fucking shit because I was so dumb to buy a set of ram instead of single sticks. When one turned out bad, they had me send back the entire fucking set. I have no fucking computer for a week now and it’s not doing great things for my mood.
I can just see you running around your house with your VR headset on, arms stuck out to the sides, making airplane noises

I have a couple of friends trying to entice me into SWTOR. I keep waffling back and forth on whether or not I really want to invest in another MMO (even if this one is free to play).
Animal Crossing daily.
About to wrap up Tomb Raider for the 3rd time (2013 version). Last played in 2014 and I still quite like it.
Might fire up Rise of the Tomb Raider after, I don’t know. Might have a look at Trials of Fire. Maybe some Civilization V.
Options are vast :)
For Space Game Junkie, more of the wonderful SpaceBourne.
For myself, more Red Dead Redemption 2, Warhammer 40K Inquisitor and Bloody Rally Show. Likely some Assassin’s Creed: Origins as well.
Been eating up the miles kilometers in Euro Truck Simulator 2 and will continue to do so this weekend. Maybe one of the racing sims too, while the driving peripherals are still hooked up.
I’m trying to resist buying Borderlands 3 with the EGS sale going on, which probably means I’ll buy it this weekend. Played the Pre-Sequel briefly a couple of weeks ago and it didn’t grab me, but I’m still in the mood for this type of game.
If you haven’t played Borderlands 2 yet, I’d get that one first. The Pre-Sequel was okay, but BL2 really shines. BL3 is really just more of BL2, plus you can get it for cheap and there’s tons of DLC.
That being said, I’ll be playing Borderlands 3 this weekend.
Death Stranding , when time permits.
Because many people work and get a lot of their gaming over the weekly break. And I found it sets a nice weekly rhythm of posting, where you’d put something new in here evey week around the same time.
Also I like seeing what I was planning/hoping to play, versus what I have played. All that was defined by the original title, ‘what will you play in the weekend’.
So this weekend, I plan to play… Dark Souls the Card Game and Apocrypha on the table. In Death: Unchained on Oculus Quest. Maybe progress a bit more in The Last of Us Part II!
Oh I think nearly everyone here works, but weekends aren’t exactly what they used to be for many of us. I don’t know that I find gaming time any more reliably on a weekend than I do on a weekday, and I find it hard to believe I’m alone on that. :)
But yeah, that I get, and I agree that “here’s what I want to play” is a nice thing to get in there too. Point taken.
Ah, the Weather Station! Fun times.
I’m stuck playing “Who wants to write a second manuscript in a row?”, but thankfully there are games like Dead Cells that I can pick up and play for short chunks of time and get a bit of challenge/enjoyment out of it. The only problem…it’s dead cells with a motherfuckin’ mouse, but at least I can pretend that’s why I died…again.
i might also wedge in a little Quantum Break. I played the first hour or two (act 1) a few days ago, and if I can remember what all the buttons for powers were I was introduced to, it might be fun. Hopefully the story is good, because the combat isn’t my favorite.
I’m continuing my FPS spree, still working my way through the ever-inventive Doom 64, and also the alpha for something I’m not supposed to talk about. Plus I’m slowly working through Tametsi which is one of those puzzle games you do half a puzzle on, get stuck, leave it til the next day, see the obvious solution, get halfway through the next puzzle, get stuck, and so on…
A much milder puzzle game is Factotum 90 where you control two robots that work together to find their way through puzzly rooms, which reminds me of an ancient Amiga game I used to love, although it is far from its equal.
Or, “what are you playing this week?” To encourage weekly updates and musing.
“What are you playing when you’re not dwelling on thread titles?”
