Personally I think it’s pretty gorgeous if your view is pointed toward the right stuff.

I played very little in the end. A bit of American Truck Simulator, a bit of Gujian 3, and a bit of Death end re;Quest. That was all.

Hopefully I’ll play more games and more time during the week, particularly the upcoming-on-Tuesday Yakuza: Like a Dragon, but also Age of Wonders: Planetfall and Warhammer 40K: Gladius.

I dusted off my digital copy of State of Decay, and have been enjoying a new playthrough.

Morrowind is from 2002! With that in mind, I find it pretty damn good looking - especially considering how large the world is!

Nice! I am not very good at the game, and constantly get killed. I’d love to play it, with a controller, but sadly I can’t make that work in any way.

I played God of War 3 Remastered on PS4. At times I was amused, and other times I hate-played it as I fell down on their shitty platforming sections a dozen times.

For Space Game Junkie this weekend, I’m returning to Interstellar Space: Genesis as it just got a new expansion and I’m eager to return to it, as it’s really one of the standout space 4X games of the last several years.

For myself, This Land is My Land is on sale and I’m VERY intrigued by it, so I’m gonna bite on it and try it out. I’ll also definitely be doing more Bloody Rally Show, and I’ve been meaning to try Ancestors Legacy as well, so I’ll try to fit that in.

Should be a good weekend!

Psst, you forgot your obligatory Star Fleet II mention :O

Well now that I’ve refunded This Land is My Land I’ll have time to get a little bit in I suppose. ;)

Well that wasn’t a very long owned purchase!

Too buggy, too problematic, not very fun as a result, so refunded it gets.

Assassin’s Creed: Origins (Xbox)

I’ll be playing Assassin’s Creed: Origins all weekend. I’ve been playing it for days now and am currently level 27 or so. The story and setting is just getting weirder and weirder and makes no sense at all. There seems to be three different levels of conciousness happening, but I guess it’s too much effort for the developers to explain what the hell is going on so they just sort of decided not to bother.

Anyway, the world is gorgeous, the combat is okay but doesn’t come close to the Shadow of Mordor/War series, and the voice acting is great. Once I finish this I plan to play Far Cry 4. I started that the other day but stopped after a couple hours because I wanted to force myself to finish this one first instead of constantly putting it off.

Mostly playing AC:Valhalla, but the last couple days I’ve played a little Slay the Spire for the first time in many months.

Code Vein (Xbox One)

I expected to play a bunch of Darksiders 3 this weekend, but technical issues on the Xbox had me putting that game on hold a few days ago. And since Darksiders 3 had adopted a bit of Dark Souls flavor in its combat system, I just barely got a taste for it before it was ripped away. Well, the good news is I recently picked up Code Vein, and it is also supposed to feature Dark Souls-like combat and exploration.

I’ve only barely made it through the tutorial and have started exploring the world proper so I don’t have any firm opinions yet, but I can say that if you like fiddling with character makers this game would be a dream if you’re also into anime shit, which I’m not… so I just chose a default pre-generated look. So, hey, it’s not my fault if her bra size is off the charts, not that she’d ever wear one anyway.

I kinda liked it - until the first boss fight, which had me uninstall the game promptly. I’d be interested in hearing how you are faring!

I’m currently at what I think is the first boss fight, the mostly-naked poisonous moth lady with giant tentacle attacks? My first attempt I just ran in got her to about 85% when I died of poison.

My next attempt I equipped my anti-venom and some extra regeneration potions and got her down to about 10% before dying.

I’m currently level 22 and using a +3 Upgraded Broadsword and a +1 Upgraded Blood Veil. Unfortunately I think I used all the anti-venom I had in that attempt, so I’ll need to figure out if I can buy more, or at least do a better job of not getting hit (hahaha). Or maybe one of these Blood Codes has a cure Gift I can cast, I’ve only been using the default Fighter class this whole time.

Aye, that seems like the one. I really, really dislike this kind of “know-the-enemy” boss-fights, but I know and understand there is a large audience for them. Its just not for me! I hate losing like that to a boss, just because I don’t know how it works.

I just noticed an unequipped Blood Veil has 100+ more venom resistance than what I was wearing originally, so I’ll equip that for my next attempt. Also found out I could buy more anti-venom for 700/ea.

Not going to have a ton of gaming time to myself this weekend, so it’ll likely be more Bloody Rally Show, maybe a little Elder Scrolls Online. I already recorded videos of Kosmokrats for Space Game Junkie, thankfully, so that’s done.

I’m hoping to finish Darksiders III this weekend. I’m so close to the end, I can feel it!

I’m also currently playing and having a great time in Forza Horizon 4 again. I also started over in Assassin’s Creed III, this time in the Remastered version. It’s slow going again, because the new mechanics (to AC series) of how to shoot a gun and how to do stealth via corner takedowns.

The other game I continue to play daily is Tetris Effect: Connected. I finished Journey mode on normal last week, and a bunch of the other effect scenarios, and I’m now back on trying to Journey mode on Expert difficulty, and boy, it’s really tough.

Just got back into The Last of Us Part 2. I’m still pretty early on Chapter 3 - Day 2. Without saying anything specific, I like it but not as much as the first. It feels like it is going to last longer than I’d like too. I don’t recall how much combat was in the first, but this feels like it has quite a bit. I find the control scheme awkward compared to other action games.

I’ve also been playing AC Valhalla and it’s, fine. The only thing it excels at are the environments. Other aspects are OK - the combat, story, characters. Working on my 3rd alliance and the feel of repetition has really started ramping up. I wish they could add a better sense of exploration and make my actions feel more meaningful.
