I don’t know that this counts as nerd rage, but I’ll assume so since it’s computer-related. But I hate, with all my being, people who poke my monitor when they’re showing me something. I just don’t get it. Why? Fucking why? Why are you touching the screen? Do you think the things displayed are real objects? I can’t even focus on whatever dumb thing they’re trying to show me anyway due to having to divert all my energy to holding back the murderous rage welling up inside me.

In another strange nerd rage thread-related coincidence, this very rarely happens to me but someone just did poke my monitor screen about an hour ago. And it was pretty annoying.

Wow, that’s some special kind of insane you’ve got going on there. Presumably you have the same reaction when people poke maps, and menus. Silly people, don’t they know those words and symbols aren’t real?

On the other hand, getting mad at monitor-pokers because they leave fingerprints is entirely rational.
