Thanks for clarifying. The video was actually really great at explaining the parts of the image produced by general relativity (that is way beyond my understanding) and illustrates well how this is an amazing achievement.
No problem. And yeah, both of the Veritasium videos on this are fantastic, to the point where I used them in my Intro Astro classes.

Wow Richard was the spitting image of his Dad. Sad to hear he’s passed.
I will never get tired of watching Falcon boosters land. Like I said, finally living in the future.

Falcon Heavy just landed all 3 boosters…2 on land, the center one on the Atlantic platform.
I am still amazed when watching those boosters land side-by-side, and that ocean landing on a postage-stamp barge. More than I am the launch (which we’ve been doing for decades). It’s like a 50’s sci-fi movie come to life. I figure part of the reason it’s feasible now is on-board computing power that we didn’t have before.
That was an April 11 launch—there are a number of channels out there which re-stream the launches later.
I would like to rewind or fast-forward that stream. Doesn’t seem to be possible since it’s ‘LIVE’ though.

There are a couple scammy-type YouTube channels that continually run the most recent SpaceX launch “live.” Very annoying.

That’s worrisome. Mostly because Elon didn’t comment on it right away. He’s nervous. And when he’s nervous he does dumb things (Tesla).

Hopefully he’s just more worried about keeping NASA happy with how they handle it.
More info on what happened:
Surely they have to test it with an actual Dragon capsule. Otherwise it’s not a test of the system.
Well, I was trying to mention that SpaceX was about to launch but Qt3 server had issues. Anyway, it landed all three boosters. First time I caught this live and it was freaking cool! Even had my step-daughter get home in time to watch the boosters land.
NM. Youtube says it’s LIVE, but it looks like it took off April 11. Maybe. There are scrolling comments, but whatever. Why does it have a WATCH LIVE channel if it’s a week old? wtf, youtube?!
LOL! At least I’m not the only one who’s done this, based on a few recent posts of the same “LIVE” stream.
Usually if there’s an imminent launch this thread gets bumped a lot. That’s mostly how I find out :P
Does SpaceX have some notification system to alert you to upcoming launches? (Ideally without random unrelated PR spam.)
If you subscribe to their YT channel there’s usually placeholder video up well before launch event, you can click “Set reminder” and you’ll get a notification when it goes live.
I use http://launchlibrary.net also to monitor upcoming launches.
