Is there a way to weaponize the ISS? It is a fairly large object. But which buildings to target?
I was referring to this from the article:
Ahhhh, okay, I misunderstood.
I’ll be fairly upset if NASA clears Boeing to send a crewed mission on that thing if they haven’t gotten a successful unmanned test first.
Starliner lands in New Mexico. Boeing needs to take some lessons from Space X on how to produce these shows slickly.
Pretty much a snooze fest. Although to be fair I always fine launches a lot more exciting than landings.
Good thing you didn’t post three links.
Check in later for updates on Comet Hastur6942069.
The problem is that “imminent” in astronomical terms could mean tomorrow and it could mean a million years.
Loved that movie for years before I learned “Goth” had a negative connotation.
I have no idea about what you mean.
At least Tim Burton isn’t an emo? South Park did a pretty great episode on emo/goth kids for people like me who are too slow and dim to follow subcultures. I like a couple of his movies but it seems like he’s just cashing checks nowadays.
Apparently Betelgeuse might have gone supernova since at least 2017?

And we will see it “shortly, astronomically speaking” and that probably means a couple thousand years? Almost makes Brexit seem like the bat of an eye.
EDIT: Sorry just read the original linked article and SPOILERS you might need to wait 100000 years. I guess Orion will always be my favorite constellation.
A few months ago we were discussing Belle Delphine bathwater and what the Goth equivalent might be.

Just watched the launch from my back yard. For a change the sky was clear. Amazing!
SOFIA (the telescope that flies around in a 747) took a cool photo of the center of the galaxy. The bright spot just right of the middle is the cloud of superheated dust/gas surrounding the black hole.

Only about 500,000,000 light years, apparently. So this happened right around the time of the Cambrian explosion.
