You can say that again. But last I checked it’s 2-4 years out.
Good piece by WaPo’s Christen Davenport on the issues NASA faces with privatization.
I haven’t seen enough coverage of the Perseverance ground radar system, and that seems like one of the most exciting and groundbreaking instruments of the mission to me. Looking forward to seeing some cool 3D geo subsurface data as they go.

SpaceX is doing another SN10 Starship test today, some time in the next couple hours.
Edit: as of noon PT the countdown clock shows :15, so 12:15 PT for a theoretical launch.

aaaaaaaand launch aborted just as the engine ignited. Likely done for today, no launch.
They may still make another attempt today. This is from an hour ago:
Got a little activity on the launch pad. Looks like there may be another attempt around 5 - 5:15 CST.
Maybe.
Yep, looks like they’re gonna launch this sucker around 5:10 CST or so.
LIGHT EM UP!
This time I’m hoping it does the full belly flop/reorientation/landing, powers down, then explodes.
Looks more like 5:15 CST ish but they are in engine chill now.
What’s a little fire between friends?
Not exactly vertical, and it’s on fire, but HELL YEAH!

Holy shit they pulled it off!
At T+ 6:00 it looks like its right out of a high budget sci-fi flick.
