Well according to NASA it was supposed to start 36 minutes ago. Historically for NASA, that means it will start some time in the next 20 years.
Their press events have been very prompt in the past. But those were coordinated scientific releases. This is political theater.
C’mon Joe - this is a rare chance for you to make a positive impression with the voters, stop f’ing this up and get this going!
They’re probably busy photoshopping all the space ships out of the pictures.
HIS APPROVAL RATE DROPS EVERY MINUTE THIS IS FURTHER DELAYED

I imagine when you’re NASA and the President’s press secretary calls and says he’d like to introduce the first photo, your only allowed response is “yes, that sounds great!”
This is awful. I’m very excited about this and I’d like them to hurry, please.
What’s really annoying is that there’s a countdown to the release of the rest of the images on the JWST site and we’re still 16 hours and 46 minutes away from that. If they have them why not just put them up? Don’t they realize this is the only positive news in the world we have left??
I hope it’s because the images are so shocking and crazy that Biden passed out after seeing them and now everything is behind because they are working to revive him.
I for one welcome our new insect overlords.

From what I understand the actor they usually get to play Biden (because he’s actually locked up in Guantanamo after The Storm occurred on January 6th) is asking for more money.
