Don’t feel bad, I do believe there was some post processing and color correction done to the image which does give it a bit of a “fakey” feel. But it’s an honest-to-god picture from DSCOVER and you can find that animated version I posted on nasa.gov.

Maybe we need a standalone JWST porn thread.

Jupitur’s Moons animation created by combining photos from Cassini space probe by NASA JPL engineer:

Maybe not a separate thread but given that scientists took all their pictures and now have X number of months to release them in whatever paper they’re working on, it’d be nice to indicate when those pictures start trickling out, or which ones are NASA official. The context is a little hard for me to follow and the article headlines don’t help. It just ends up being a blur of one pretty picture after another. I guess that’s fine?

Pr0n thread.

I like words with my porn. My vote is here LOL.

Pervert.

I only read The Astronomical Journal for the photographs.

Butty McButtface, obviously.

Charmin.

More space pr0n. This time of the Inner Orion Nebula.

That second one is like going from dial-up pr0n to HD pr0n.

That is what I said when questioned about the “Ass Jo” charges on my statement.

Blue Origin had a whoopsie:

Whoa. Could this spell doom for their space tourism?

I’m guessing not. Many people will see this as validation of their abort system’s safety. Beyond that, it was uncrewed and an older-design booster that they apparently weren’t using for tourists (it seems it was on its 9th flight with cargo). Plus they have lots of resources to deal with it and their sub-orbital competition is way behind.

Hubble feeling the pressure to perform from the new guy.

I read that as “Cameltoepardalis,” and was wondering…

Hubble really feeling the heat
