Is there any consensus pick about which 2060 Super vendor has the best offering?

I can’t really speak in regards to specs, but I always go EVGA because their support is so fantastically good. I was able to get a native speaker on the phone during the Superbowl and have them cross-ship a replacement to me when I was having issues, after spending about an hour with me trying to help me troubleshoot.

It doesn’t really matter these days. I would probably go with EVGA too for the superior support and warranty.

Thank you @KevinC and @stusser.

My Voodoo 1 back in Oct of 1996 played nothing until the first Tomb Raider released in November. Which I played the hell out of. And then around Jan or Feb the next year Carmack dropped glQuake and that $300 spent was soooo worth it.

Summary: Ray tracing might finally have its killer app, coming out next week in the form of Control from Remedy.

Does anyone know if this

applies to the base game (specifically the GamePass version) or just the DLC?

AMD has a bigger graphics market share than Nvidia? What?

It includes integrated GPUs so AMD processors are boosting those numbers. They’re also seemingly using “units shipped” and “market share” interchangeably which aren’t how I’ve historically considered them.

Yeah, market share and units shipped in a quarter (or whatever the time period) is not the same thing.

Cheapest price yet for a 2080ti ($715):

Wow, never seen one below $1000. That’s got to be a mistake, it’s reasonable.

Blower card and apparently B stock. Also for a blower, that is one of the worst exhaust vents I’ve ever seen.

Well it’s PNY too.

One can only imagine what wumpus would do to that vent.

I mean this is what most of the 1080’s looked like, you know…with actual ventilation holes.

I used to really like PNY cards some years back and they had lifetime warranties, iirc. Then they seemed to kind of drop out of the market.

I guess they sold out or realized that it was an error, purchase icon is gone.

If it weren’t new iPhone month I probably would have picked this up.

I mean I know what it’s like to only have X amount to spend, so I get that. It’s just knowing what you’re getting into. I generally expect PNY cards to run hotter, to be able to overclock, but not as well, and the RMA niceties not to be present for the 1 year warranty they offer.

Warranty periods tend to be longer from others (except maybe Zotac and that other one, Galaxy), and the RMA experience better. I’ve not heard good things about dealing with PNY, but who knows, that could’ve changed. My experiences with EVGA, when things go wrong, has been good.

What’s that, a comment about how ZOTAC eats butts?

They sure do. Just chompin’ down on all them butts.
