Interesting. Rumors have been saying August for a long while now.
As much as I love summer, I wish it were november already. Thereās some news due around that time Iām quite desperate for, and that includes reviews of the 30x0 series of video cards ;)
PC Gamer present what looks like the same info:
Dunno how reliable.

320 watts? Holy shazbot. Hope that isnāt right. The 2080ti is 250w and thatās a HUGE chip.
In the future all Nvidia cards will come with their own power supply.

Wait, thereās a 3080ti and a 3090ti? Is there a 3070?
That brought back unexpected memories of skiing the murder slopes.
Who knows, theyāre all unreliable leaks. Another one I heard said there was no Ti model at launch, but the 3090 non-Ti would take the same spot at the top.
I aināt letting that wattage into my house.
It doesnāt seem that likely does it? The 2080 was labelled as about 215W, so a 320W 3080 from a smaller process⦠It had better make decent coffee.
Right, I would be very surprised if Nvidia just gave up on power efficiency like that. Itās a move youād expect to see from AMD, honestly.
Theyāre making me keep my 1080 the more and more I see.
Not me, if the 3080 offers 2080ti performance or better at $699 or less Iām in, 320w or not.
Wccftech suggests the 3090 is rebranding for the Titan series.
Apparently the PCBs going out to retail partners are rectangular, without the cutouts thereās have for the fan. I donāt mind the appearance, as many seem to, but not sure that design will work particularly well in a sandwich-style case and certainly donāt want to spend a bunch of extra money for it.
I am already saving my nickels for one of those babies !!!
People can save money back by not having to run their furnace in the winter.
Wccftech is not a reliable news source.
None of these sources are āreliableā
Correct, these are all unsubstantiated rumors. I do believe the weird cooling design is real though, unless someone really went to a high amount of effort not normally seen except for Apple products.
