How about, “Wccftech is a big pile of shit and referencing anything they say re: rumors is just like putting your ass in the air and farting.”

Gotta wonder about the heat problems if they’re sucking that much juice. What they think everyone is going to go liquid and pack on a giant PSU? I hope these rumors are incorrect.
I’m not looking to turn my game room into a sauna. Hopefully we’ll have some reasonable offerings from at least one of the companies.
Just in time for winter! The 3060/3070 will be for summer gaming, naturally.
That is one ugly ass card, gj Nvidia.
I’ll be going the EVGA route again for the 3000 series.
Wonder if I will need to upgrade my 750 watt psu. D:

This! I’m definitely not looking forward to the 3 series if I’m going to upgrade the PSU for this.
Maybe they leaked big power numbers to sucker AMD into relaxing their own requirements, just before leaping out with a nice cool part.
Like in Dallas when JR made it look like Cliff Barnes had the backing to run for congress, but it was all a giant ruse. Like that.
Very possible, I just can’t see the power numbers needing to be so high. But who knows the performace we will be getting.
People at AMD after hearing these Nvidia leaks:

Seems likely that AMD surprised NVIDIA with the comings GPUs so they bumped up all the cards, really going all out this generation, to keep their lead. AMD has an overall process advantage, getting priority access to TSMC 7mm, while NVIDIA only has it on the highest end cards.
Will wait and see what EVGA produces.
Surprised to see so many leaks so early. As far as I can recall, neither Pascal nor Turing were leaked. I remember being shocked at the 2Ghz speeds on Pascal at launch in particular.
Yeah, I’d think maybe we were going to see cards sooner than expected, but the whole GDDR6x thing is odd. Of course that rumor could obv be wrong.
Does that look like a long card? Seems a bit on the long and skinny side. Anyway, glad something is incoming.
Videocard design does seem stuck in the 90s. Nothing much has changed, apart from maybe heat pipes, if those are really a thing in videocards. Fan(s), Shrouds, maybe heat pipes - it’s all kind of the same despite the advances in the GPU itself. I expect ease of manufacturing and the slot standards are controlling factors, but I wonder what would happen if they could put some components on the backside of the board, or duct air specifically to/from the hottest components, or split function over two slots. I’d like to see some wacky races type efforts :)
Do laptops or phones have any lessons, other than dynamic power handling? I suppose water cooling is one newish thing too.

Design is quite strained by the requirement to fit into as many cases and configurations as possible. I don’t think manufacturers are going to take risks. How many even make cards suitable for small form-factor builds these days? 2? 3?
True, though there are custom machines too, which probably do have neat solutions. I’m thinking of the Corsair One and stuff like that.
Edit: Though I guess that’s not too fancy when you get down to it, more just efficiently put together. Nice though.
Don’t forget the RGB lighting added to cards now. ;)
I just turn that crap off. I purposefully buy cases without windows, prefer sound dampening to garish cosmetics.
Lol, won’t be putting a new RTX card in that one…
