I’m hoping there’s a 3080 / Cyberpunk bundle from EVGA. I would have gone 3090, but it’s more than twice as expensive as the 3080, and I doubt the performance gain will make up for that.

So what’s the story with the “ti” and “super” variants? I’m afraid I’m not very well versed on how nVidia versions work. Are these put out sometime mid-cycle between the major releases? When would we expect to hear about them?

Don’t expect any bundles for a very long time. They are effectively discounts and these cards will be tough to even buy through the end of the year.

I may be misremembering, but the Ti cards typically come out a while after the initial release but the 2080Ti was the exception as it was available at launch. I don’t recall Nvidia doing a Super version before the 2000 series but it showed up a year or so later, which I guess would have roughly been around when a Ti might have been announced?

So for the 3000-series? Who knows. :) I wouldn’t expect anything new until Spring or Summer at the earliest, though.

The ti/super stuff was extremely confusing to consumers, where you had a 1650, 1660, 1650 Ti, 1660 Ti, 1650 Super, and 1660 Ti all simultaneously available with a lot of overlapping performance. The scuttlebutt is Nvidia is trying to limit that this generation.

I would expect a product refresh at some point, and they tack Ti or Super to the end there, but hopefully they will render the old non-Super cards obsolete and no longer sell them then.

If these cards are mostly 1440 p/4k capable already, it seems unclear what upgrade would be enticing for most home consumers that doesn’t cannibalize the 3090. Improving power efficiency alone isn’t going to sell that many more cards.

I’m just saying, it seems unlikely you’ll get a much more powerful card so quickly, I.e. a killer 3070 Ti within a few months. They just announced these a few hours ago, for Christ’s sake!

Sooo… Watch Dogs: Legion doesn’t count?

What RTX30x0 card does that come with?

3070 for sure. Didn’t check the others

Looks like all of them, not Sure if only first party

That’s very surprising. Some sort of contractual obligations I’d guess.

Maybe just trying to be as aggressive as possible knowing AMD has a strong lineup?

I thought GeForce NOW was free. What does a Founder’s Membership get you?

Edit: Here we go. I swear to god, I don’t remember the free membership being this restrictive back when I tried it.

Watch there be a massive shortage of RTX3080/3090 cards probably into next year.

Wonder how many enthusiasts are gonna end up playing Cyberpunk 2077 on their backup cards. :P

3070 it is, and $100 cheaper than I expected.

That’ll do pig. That’ll do.

Oh yeah they will definitely be hard to get until next year. Nowinstock.net already has preliminary listings. I signed up.

Yeah, if my current CPU wouldn’t die gasping for air the moment I simply set a 3080 by it, I’d be onboard as well, lol.

Gotta wonder what CPU’s are gonna be bottlenecks for these new GPUs.
