I found an old picture :) It has some but not much clearance, and could use a dust.

Ahh yeah, baffle probably wouldn’t work, heh.

I was pretty set on not getting liquid cooling for my new rig but man I think might need to just to unclog the airflow in there with these new cards.

That and I’m gonna need a bigger boat.

I’m just old fashioned but ā€œliquidā€ and ā€œcomputerā€ just don’t mix in my brain. It’ll be air cooling for me. If a fan dies that sucks, if a water cooling system fails that just sounds bad.

Same here. Highly suspicious of liquid, especially if any move is anticipated later.

I’m not sure I’ll ever have another purely air cooled system again. Water is just more effective for me and is far, far less cumbersome which makes working in my case a lot more enjoyable.

Don’t mobo’s have thermal sensors for the CPU that shut the system down should the CPU reach a unsafe temp?

Pump failure isn’t catastrophic. A leak in the wrong place would be :)

Brutal, its also horrific to still see 2080Ti’s on Amazon still listed for almost full price ($1100+)

If the new cards are supply constrained as expected, I do think the market will reach an equilibrium price where some people will choose to upgrade to a 2000 series just to play Cyberpunk on a strong video card.

The alternative is missing out like a dope or running at low settings.

Cyberpunk 2077 at a sweet sweet 720p 30fps. :)

Canadian retailers have no info at all yet on pricing or availability

Nobody does, you will be able to order on the 17th, if you’re lucky enough to get one.

There’s a part of me which suspects Nvidia is helping spread the rumors of scarcity to lock in pre-orders. That said, the 3080 really does look good so I don’t think they’d have to stoop to such tactics.

Well, except for the fact that no one is taking preorders

It was almost the perfect plan.

In two weeks? That’s what I thought I was reading.

All indications is that those are plain old regular orders with a stock limit.
