Nvidia is in a hurry to gain mindshare before the consoles and Big Navi arrive. It’s the only excuse for this thin a launch.

So I assume that the 3090 situation’s going to be just as stupid.
Not that I’m anxious to give them that kind of money after this fiasco.
The best thing AMD could do right now, foundry willing, would be to have a crapload of Big Navis ready to go on launch day.

Agree Completely. I got a feeling AMD is gonna kill it. I’m now more content to wait after falling for the hype. Granted I’ve been waiting to pull the trigger on my first top of line gaming PC for 3 months now so I’ll forgive myself and try and not so patiently wait another month.
Next big tech drop for me will be Zen 3 (planning to bundle with the motherboard at my local Microcenter). I figure by then we’ll see more 3080 inventory trickle in with a little more info on both higher VRAM models as well as AMD’s 6xxx series.

Don’t worry, you guys. AMD will have literally millions of cards ready on launch day and no scalpers or bots will even think about purchasing one. You will be able to roll around in Big Navis for days. It’ll be a dream scenario.

However, I should see EVGA cards on amazon as sold out, but I do not even see a listing for them.
I don’t know why this is surprising. You have at least two generations of gamers looking to upgrade, basically anyone who doesn’t have a 2080ti.

They always sell out quickly, but not this quickly. I had a browser open with tabs logged in to five separate sites ready to go and nowinstock loaded right on time and I never even saw a card in stock. It really is a paper launch.

I managed to get an EVGA CX3 Ultra from NewEgg. Got damned lucky, I’m sure.
