These two cards might be available for 1.5 seconds:
I had never heard of AORUS. Their website says they are powered by GIGABYTE. So it’s a GIGABYTE card, basically, but under a different branding, I guess?
It’s basically Gigabyte’s equivalent of ROG.
What I don’t get is that there’s listings for an Aorus 3060 Ti, but not for the 3070.

This all scans as bullshit, there’s no way AMD Is “considering” changing their plans less than a month from launch.
The other weird thing is that intentional leaks would presumably better or worse than actual, given you are trying to provide misinformation. Either one seems problematic in its own way

There’s no sane consumer technology company in the world that intentionally leaks false information that is worse than what they plan. Especially in this situation, where benchmarks are really all that matters to consumers and Nvidia was always going to go first.
This is like the person in the movies who says, “Don’t trust anyone!” and winds up being the liar all along, lol. (AMD that is, although also Nvidia - no saints in this business)
Yeah, but if the leaks were to overstate performance, then there would be disappointment when the product was revealed, which is the last thing you want.
Is there any way I can reduce the raw power of my 3080? Everything is running at max frame rate and so smooth, it feels like I’ve conquered gaming and I miss struggling with the rest of the peasantry.
Hopefully everyone knows that’s a joke. On the positive side, a buddy of mine is using an AMD RX 580 in his gaming rig so I’m selling him my 10890 Ti FTW3 for $200, which I think he’ll be very pleased with.
So the consensus seems to be that the launch is still a shitshow. Essentially nobody (with a few exceptions) is reliably getting 3080s / 3090s here and many people are on the edge of (or have) given up looking for now.
My own Office Depot order doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere. No movement from processing in over a week. Talked with them again today & they have no idea & blamed the vendor.
… the wait continues.

Yep, just got to the nvidia store for a FE within 15 seconds of my script alerting, and the script checks every 30 seconds, and was unable to checkout. It’s a shitshow like nothing I’ve ever experienced.
If this is accurate, there’s a good reason to reduce that raw power:
A ~100-watt power reduction for a minor loss in performance isn’t bad.
Did you just hang on the ‘Checking out’ until you gave up? That seems to be normal with Nvidia. Newegg will usually just tell you there’s nothing in your cart, or will actually let you buy it and send you an email that your order was voided (only had that once, but it was the most exciting). EVGA forgot how to do a commerce site and Best Buy just hasn’t bothered getting any cards while Amazon helpfully trickles them out to scalpers.
It’s like a real life game.

Yes, that’s exactly how it went down.
I’m a 16 time champ at Not Getting That Card. I feel like I know these checkout systems too well.
Why can’t they just let you order and then ask you to wait in line, and you’ll get it eventually depending on where you are in line?

How dare you suggest that someone buying a 3080 should sacrifice one single frame. We should instead be focusing on whether upgrading to a 2000-watt power supply will help.
