Seriously, though, if kitty doesn’t have a previous habit of peeing in improper places, there’s a good chance that there’s a UTI or other health issue and you should get a vet check to be safe.
My cat Sonya would wake my then-girlfriend, now ex-wife up by kneading her throat, claws out. Cat knew something and I should have listened.
If it happens multiple times, certainly. Once could easily be a pissed off cat

Is there any real strategy I can use to get a 3080 card? I registered on the EVGA site a few weeks ago for their queue thing. I also randomly check amazon, new egg and best buy, but so far no luck. Not even, I saw it available and then couldn’t get it into my cart things.

Yes, join the botrtx discord channel and turn notifications on. Have a separate browser already logged-in to all the various stores with your credit card info saved. Then when notifications come in, jump on them immediately.
I’m ashamed to admit that I missed my EVGA FTW3 Ultra card-available email notification (which I signed up for on launch day). It came just after 9am and I didn’t check my personal email after a long day of work until around 8pm. Missed my 8 hour window by 3H.
I already have a 3080, though. I would have bought it just to sell it for cost on here (or to sell my MSI for cost on here).

Buy it wrapped in a new PC from a builder. Seems to be the best and quickest method currently.

Yep, certainly the case in the UK, though I’m still looking at a 2-3 week wait time. (There was one builder with 3080s in stock, but I didn’t like many of their options).
I could have had a 3090 straight away, oddly enough the builder’s 3090 price is a good few hundred over MSRP, which might be why

Those clocks are sky high. If true my guess is AMD is taking all their gains from a superior process and spending them on speed-- these will be 350w GPUs too.
The 80 CU is going to be the perfect chips from the die. Everything else will be cut down. Although TSMC is supposed to have exceptional yields, so not sure why there’s going to be limited availability on the 6900XT.
XSX has 52 CUs at 1.825GHz. Xbox Series won’t boost GPU clocks. So the 6900XT will have 28 more CUs, and has a 200Mhz higher base clock (and upwards of 500Mhz higher on boost). The XSX was around a 2080 Super, so…

Yes that will be their 3070-killer. But Nvidia is releasing the next day so they’ll respond to pricing or performance disparities. Thanks to AMD it’s a great time to be a consumer.

“Leaked” big navi numbers coming out. Looks like roughly 3080-ish in rasterization, depending on which benchmark you use, and a bit behind on ray-tracing. Performs much better in DX11 than DX12. As always, take with salt.
This seems true of the 3080 as well, is the thing. I tested several games on DX11 and 12 and got much better performance on 11. And games like Total Warhammer 2 where there seems to be no benefit to running on DX12 (no RTX, no DLSS) that’s pretty cool, imo.
There’s a 6900XT that will have 8 more CUs (11% more than the 6800XT) and a slightly higher clock, too.
Don’t the 3070s come out this week? I feel like I should be preparing somehow. Buy 6 monitors, acquire an army of bots, develop a rogue AI.
Or maybe just download the Best Buy app.
