Not quite 4k, but still:
The price though… have to wait until bonus time (and then probably still not buy it)

Not real HDR, curved, and way too expensive.
Curious about why you flag curved as a negative. I liked it more than expected on my 34" ultra wide, and miss it on my 29" ultra wide.
I was looking at that too, but presumably the next one will be HDR 600 or 1000, then it’s ticked all boxes.

Yeah, I have a curved 34" and I like it. It’s subtle, not like the stupid curved TV sets were. I consider it a positive.
Really anxious to see the news this week, with the 2070 benchmarks and the AMD reveal. Who’s gonna win the $500-bracket performance contest?
I’m also jones’ing pretty bad to know which is better at the $500 price point, and more importantly can I get one in time for Cyberpunk.
It wasn’t bad (nice, in some ways) to be stuck on integrated graphics all spring, summer, and now fall, but goddammit, winter is coming.
Yeah, I think an ultrawide of that size would be difficult to use if it wasn’t curved. Curved screens make way more sense as PC monitors than they did for big screen TVs. I’m really happy with my 32inch 1440p@144 curved monitor.

I’m not a fan of curved displays, is all.

I got a curved display a couple years ago for my game room. I wasn’t intending to, I just happened to see a good deal on it when I was shopping for a TV. Been happy with it! Don’t know if I’d go out of my way to get one but it’s definitely not a negative for me.
My son got a nice, curved display from his Grandmother one year and it served him very well until he got a 4K display a year back or so. I remember walking by him while he played Xbox on the curved display and remarking several times on how striking the picture quality was - just a super good panel on that thing. I don’t think it was the curved aspect that made it look so good - likely not - but it didn’t hurt, that’s for sure. He ended up gifting it to @ShivaX actually!

I have a curved screen now, 32". It only seems weird when a spreadsheet covers the whole thing, otherwise from a proper viewing angle, it’s great.

Yeah ultrawide is not just for gaming. Right now I need to read 3 documents at once at ~100%, and a 21:9 ultrawide would allow that perfectly. My current 25" 16:10 display can only let me read 2 documents at once. So it is constant switching of windows which is a pain.
I have a super ultra wide (32:9). It does need the curve otherwise the perspective (?) would be off.
You might love these newly announced high frame rate gsync monitors. 360hz!

Wow, it really is as good as a 2080 Ti. Except the DLSS is probably better.
And people are hinting that the AMD card will be competetive with it.
What a time to be alive.

Now this is what I would expect from a new generation in terms of performance. A 3070 beating the 2080Ti for under half the cost is pretty nice.
Very curious what AMD has up their sleeve.
