Sold out and coming soon mean basically the same thing, nothing is available. See details I’m not as confident but it either means an open box item or nothing available. What you’re looking for is a yellow add to cart. Your best bet is to join the Stockdrop discord as that will auto notify you of any instock items at all the major retailers.

For 1440P gaming, I will settle for 3070 tomorrow, hopefully it will be available for some time, min. instead of gone in sec.
Are these all NVIDIA cards tomorrow or aftermarket too? If it’s the latter, remind me what brands to avoid.

If it’s like the 3080s, a 3080 is a 3080, pretty much. Very small differences, other than Zotac being the worst one.
Think this is a different video on the Smart Access stuff.
B&H has coming soon listing’s up for Gigabyte 3070 cards…at 599 and 649 US 😒

Yeah, that should be a hard pass.
IS DLSS useful for people aiming at 1080p?
If using a lower end card and you want to crank up settings like ray tracing? Maybe.

If you’ve got a 2060 or 2060S, very possibly.
That won’t be a concern on the 3070/3080 certainly, or even the unannounced 3060. Maybe a future 3050 could benefit from it.

They didn’t mention any comparable raytracing performance, which can only mean they are not comparable with Nvida’s offering at the same tier, i.e. 6800XT would performance worse than 3080 etc. Otherwise they would be shouting it from the rooftop like they did with rasterization performance.
You’d think, though that suggests the new consoles will not do RT well. I think their use of it will be carefully limited for maximum effect. OTOH, will devs go out of their way to implement RT features for PC that the consoles can’t handle?

Yes it does, and that means AMD’s likely loss in RT performance probably won’t matter much in actual games.
Is it bad that I am actually excited that a graphics card company highlighted WoW? Since it is literally the only game that I play every week (since its release), I am going to look closely at what AMD brings that NVIDIA is not for WoW. My 2080 works fine, but would be nice to be able to set the graphics above 7 or 8 in 2020.
Though, I’d expect nVidia to coax devs for Some of the major titles into doing a bit extra.

Just like today, the better console ports will offer settings that look better than the original console versions. So AMD would offer a console-equivalent experience on RT, while Nvidia might offer better RT, higher resolution shadows, etc. Not a huge deal really as even the base 6800 is a much faster GPU than in the PS5/XSX.

AIB cards will be fatter and longer, never fear. The 3080 FE is actually quite svelte in comparison to my gigabyte.
It’s disturbingly heavy, though.
I prefer my video card to be physically larger to intimidate other gamers. Win before the match even starts.
