Don’t you mean a dump of 3080s?
Perhaps it would make sense to just keep Newegg open in a window and go to the window instead of clicking a link when a notification hits?
(but they were only MSI cards, so nothing of value was lost :P)

I know that’s a joke but I don’t get the joke. :)
There isn’t much to get, I was bagging on MSI’s quality. IIRC some folks in this thread had an MSI and weren’t super pleased with the build, but maybe I’m wrong about that.

Ahh, if so I must have missed it and thus missed the context.

I have the MSI and it’s great. I think it was just a certain strongly opinioned person repeatedly posting a complaint about the non-metal backplate here. :)

The 3090s don’t have the plastic backplate so that doesn’t apply.

$300,000? So only 6 cards were taken?
$300,000? So someone got their hands on five cards?
It’s not your head, dude.
Fortunately the 6900XT is out tomorrow so everyone will be fine.

“The” meaning a single card, yes.

Concur, Mine is fabulous, even with the ‘gimped’ backplate ;)

I was at Micro Center for unrelated reasons tonight and they had a single 3060ti left in the case. It was Zotac and $450, or I might have left with a new card.
There was also a guy camping out in front of the store for tomorrow’s 6900 XT launch. I assume they were only getting the one since there was no one else waiting… or no one was crazy enough to spend the night outside a tech store in below freezing temperatures.
…nah. I’m going with the former.
I dunno, we camped out in near-freezing rain for concert tickets when I was like 18. Of course we had a case of beer and a bottle of Golden Grain.
Also, it’s sort of bizarre to go to any tech selling place like newegg or Best Buy or wherever and see nothing but “out of stock” and “sold out” tags across page after page of video cards. Along with the occasional four-figure price for a 2060.
