I’m dead serious, this is the most impressive raytracing game by a huge margin.

Cyberpunk with ray tracing and DLSS is really impressive.

Yep. The aesthetic is basically optimal for ray tracing, but the game was also very clearly made for high-end PCs first. No graphics compromises on account of consoles here.

For all its glitches and design flaws, one aspect of cyberpunk that lived up to the hype and then some was its graphical quality!

I was pondering this question yesterday (for the new cards in general). Most of the games with Ray tracing seem to be shooters. Hopefully that will start to change

Minecraft RTX is great, it really transforms the look of the game.

My brief time with quake 2 rtx was very underwhelming, i didn’t notice anything really cool with the lighting, is it worth more of a chance?

Not really. Maybe somebody created a mod pack that makes the levels more dynamic? The lighting is just mostly fixed in that game unless you choose to move the sun around or whatever, you don’t really see much that couldn’t be faked with a modern non raytracing engine.

I didn’t get very far though so possible the lighting is cool later in the game.

Minecraft with the NVIDIA texture pack is just so far ahead of everything else. It’s a game where you as a player carefully position stained glass windows, that’s totally normal gameplay in Minecraft. Raytracing genuinely adds to the fun of building!

WD Legion had some ray tracing for London’s puddles and cars but Cyberpunk, Control and Minecraft are the ones that people say show it off.

Also the last Metro game, or so I recall seeing in videos had decent RTX implementation.

I haven’t had time to play it yet to see for myself.

Ah yes, Metro Exodus. It vanished from Gamepass so I haven’t see it with RT either.

It’s a stupid aesthetic effect for me to get too fixated on, but the dynamic reflections in the London puddles are pretty cool. In fact, the lack of Ray Traced self-reflection in Cyberpunk is a bit of a bummer after the WD: Legion implementation.

Maybe they’ll add it in one of their Mea Culpa patches…

Well, this is… interesting

“Following this discovery, Nvidia confessed to having lost these cards several months ago…”

This can’t be real. I’d like some better sources first.

It’s pretty awesome if it is. Is there something wrong with this source?

Well, the source is Geeknetic, which is from Spain and this is el Día de los Santos Inocentes (a Spanish variant on April Fools’ Day) so it’s quite possible it’s fake. Still, France24 is an official news site so there’s a chance it’s real.

Some people say it’s fake, and I kinda agree. If you do a google reverse image search you will find the exact image without the nvidia logo, plus 500 000 card doesn’t fit in 1 container. Those card are pretty big.

A 40 ft container’s maximum volume is 2367.2 cubic-feet. No way that many cards fit in that space.

I assume by contain they mean the entire shipment container. Something like that would hold… a lot, I mean a heck of a lot. But I don’t know anything about these sources, so if it’s a crap source, so be it.

At first I was making a victory jig thinking I might be able to get a card now. Now I’m sad.
