The StockDrops Discord sent out the notifications for the Best Buy drops about twenty minutes after they were all sold out. I called them a joke in their general chat and left the server. A minute later, I got a message saying I was banned.

Even their bans are late!

I managed to get a 3070 on that Best buy drop! I think there may be more, just got another alert. Trying to figure out how to build around it now, ryzen 5 5600’s don’t seem to be available/reasonable

I know it is completely ridiculous you have to do this, but I got mine by monitoring the Falcodrin stream:

More important than the actual video is to follow the chat or - more importantly - to listen for Falcodrin to talk. He will start talking when the big drops happen.

Ugh, that’s annoying if it’s a 16GB/20GB card, because I could use that. Prepar3D has video memory issues ever since v5 went to DX12, and MSFS will take advantage of extra video memory.

Oh well, not like I can’t probably turn around and sell my 10GB 3080 for what I paid for it. :)

They’ve been launching all sorts of stuff without being able to supply those 3080. The 3080ti has long been rumoured to launch in Feb/March, and I’ve been holding out for it (if true)!

Securing one will likely be a different matter of course… :)
