That’s at least better than the new Asus prices. Still steep, unfortunately, but fairly “normal” steep.
I pick-up my 3080 on Wednesday… I also installed a 48" LG OLED as my main monitor. I will send some pics at the end of the week for anyone curious… but basically my wife thinks I have gone absolutely insane.
I went from a 7700k to a 5900x, keeping the same GPU, and Cyberpunk is running more smoothly.
I’m running at max of 60 so I wouldn’t notice any extra frames it goes over that. It just drops under 60 far less frequently that it used to.
Well, all I can tell you is this: At the time I placed my order, the ETA on the order page was 1/16. After placing the order that moved up significantly, but then two dates (after the first passed it updated again) came and went and then it said…1/16. That later changed to 1/13. With other stock coming in a few days later, based on today’s activity, I feel pretty good the 1/13 date is real this time. I had to wait a month, but on the plus side they were charging 95 dollars more today for the save card because of the tariff changes mentioned upthread.
But you are right. They are very clear they are not guaranteed. Those dates are also estimated received at the warehouse.

I upgraded from an i7-4770 to a 5800X in the middle of Cyberpunk, and went from average 45 fps to 75 fps. The ray-tracing is really CPU-heavy, even at low resolutions.
Cool. I get 45 ish driving around at 3440x1440 with Medium RT / Auto DLSS. 6700K / 2080 Super. It’s good enough but I turn up the settings a bit and think it could be better :)
As far as I can see today, all that stock info at BLT has disappeared. They now list a couple of EVGA waterblock cards only.
We have to raise prices to decrease demand! Or that’s how I read it. :P
ZOTAC Pricing on December 18th; January 3rd; January 13th
- from $440 to $500 and now $530 for an RTX 3060 Ti
- from $540 to $600 and now $640 for an RTX 3070
- from $750 to $780 and now $840 for an RTX 3080
- from $1550 to $1580 and now $1900 for an RTX 3090

I felt a bit stupid impulse buying a 3070 on release day just because best buy showed it as In stock at that moment. I didn’t really need to upgrade my 1080 for the games I was playing at the time, and I figured I could just spend $500 in 3-6 months and get it just fine.
I guess my impulse buying paid off.
Such a crazy world. So I guess MSI is a holdout? Good for them, I guess.
And… today came and went. My order now says 1/21 for an ETA ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I just got an email from EVGA that a 3070 I signed up for is available for purchase. Since I got one I don’t need it but I am willing to purchase it and sell it to someone here if they are interested. The card:
https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=08G-P5-3755-KR
I will ask for the purchase price + actual cost to ship (insured and with tracking). PM me if you are interested. I will only do this if I’m comfortable with your presence here so won’t do this for a lurker. But if you’re a regular and want to buy a 3070 hit me up. From the time of this post I have 7 hours left in the reservation so don’t think too long.
Wow, that’s way higher than the MSRP for 3070s. They’re supposed to be $500 right?
Yeah the 3070 Nvidia branded cards are $499 , everyone else making the 3070 has it priced higher depending on their cooling solution / brand / warranty.
If that was a 3080 @Charlatan was offering, I’d be all over it like butter on hot cob of corn. :D
As noted earlier in the thread, costs on cards have gone up since the first of the year. Think that card was roughly 549 a few weeks ago.
I linked to it so you guys wouldn’t think I was trying to gouge you!
