I think the free version limits the number of products you can track, which matters for GPUs since every brand and model is considered a different product.

So, to get notifications for all SKUs for all 3060 Ti, 3070, etc, one needs to subscribe. I think - been a few months since I used it.

Exactly, the free one limits the number of SKUs you can track. So if you’re going for a GPU you’ll want to float them a month’s subscription.

Good to know. Those suprim cards are enormous

It’s like vaccine sign-ups for GPUs. More cards (shots) in gaming PCs (arms) is ethically sound, go for it.

Of note, I’m not doing a vertical mount so I can’t speak to that. The case is absolutely fantastic, however. After having built more than a few PCs in my day, this is my favorite case to work with thanks to all the small touches which are just right. Captive thumbscrews, toolless design, incredibly easy access everywhere, all the connectivity hubs anyone could want, magnetic dust filters, drive cages with built-in hot swapping, and it’s just pretty imho.

Only drawbacks would be its size (a plus for me), the cost ($200+) and that it doesn’t come with fans (it’s primarily designed with the expectation of at least an AIO, but also supports air cooling just fine).

LOL - I like that metaphor

I bet that was a great ride home with a big grin and jamming tunes.

Pretty much described it to a T, lol

I had a Lian Li case 10-12 years ago. I think many of the design cues we see these days with the one piece aluminum and such can be traced back to them (at least in my limited experience).

When do the next generation GPUs drop in price?

GPUs never drop in price new, they’re just replaced by the next generation when it comes out.

7 months since the 3080 was paper launched and the thread title is still a highly relevant question for most people.

This gen is like a fine wine. My vintage 2020 msi 3080 is only gaining in value.

Indeed. The 3080ti is now rumoured for end of May. Yields are reported as ‘very low’. :P

Oh, one super-mild complaint as I ALMOST finished my build; does anybody believe in including fan screws with their fans, anymore? FFS.

Odd thing of note: the MSI 3080 Suprim X comes with both a GPU sag support (useful, as the thing is HEAVY) and a mousepad. It doesn’t come with the little MSI badge/sticker, which I recall coming with pretty much every MSI product. I just thought it was kinda funny.

No, but OTOH some of them don’t on purpose. The Noctua fans I recently installed, for example, have rubber isolation mounts instead of conventional screws. Confused the crap out of me since I hadn’t seen them last build.

Diego

That’s some weird stuff, but sounds cool. Do they work with self-tapping fans?

I don’t think they’re a drop-in replacement, no. They rely on both ends having holes already & the fan side has rubber-rimmed mounts.

Ah, yeah - looks very neat, but you’re right; still need to pick up some screws after work.

That’s weird. The Noctuas (120mm) that I just picked up came with both little stubby screws and the rubber isolation mounts – plus now a weird “covers-the-entire-outer-rim-of-the-fan rubber bumper” that came in addition to the traditional “cover-each-corner-with-its-own rubber bumper.” Those Noctuas aren’t cheap, but man, they are nice and quiet.

Hardware Unboxed find NVidia’s Resizable BAR to be less effective than the AMD counterpart. Boo. Unless NVidia just started from a higher base. Hmm. Anyway, here’s their summary graph. That’ll teach Nvdia to blacklist them.
