In typical parlance it also means launches with absurdly limited quantities. If it was just a supply-constrained launch they would have waited until they had manufactured enough 3080 Tis to at least sell to half a day or a full days demand (e.g. PS5, new xbox, etc.).

The distribution of stores where Best Buy will have them is a bit nutty. 1 location in NYC, none in Chicago, Kansas City, or St. Louis, but 30k pop town in WV will have them.

This is just about producing more “top end” cards with the same supply of GDDR6x and a slightly wider binning on the GPU. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

Any fellow EVGA Elite’s know the deal with getting on the queue this morning?
They don’t seem to have a product page for the Ti series as of yet. I imagine that’s supposed to go live at 9:00 a.m. eastern, and then you can add to cart/put your name on the queue?
Or am I missing some secret link to the product page?

I live 5 minutes from a Best Buy that was on the list. We had big thunderstorm’s all night. Those scalpers had to work for their money!
