…and thank you, KallDrexx! I’ll take good care of it.

I saw you tagged Wumpus. Is he back? I thought he took off from QT3 way prior to COVID.
He’s not back. Rei is just testing his email filter.
Speaking of email filters. I wish my Qt3 emails didn’t all automatically go to spam. I tried clicking on “Not Junk” on a million of them, but the email service still sorts them into junk.
Which email service are you using? An example with Gmail:
- Scroll down on the left below the inbox and click, “more.”
- Click, “Manage Labels.”
- Along the top click, “Filters and Blocked Addresses.”
- Click, “Create a New Filter.”
- Under, “Has the words,” put, @quartertothree.com
- Click, “Create Filter.” It will show all the current matches.
- Choose, “Categorize it as,” and choose a category. I use, “Forums.”
So with this:

I get this:
It’s a Hotmail account. But I don’t see any options like that in my phone apps. Gmail or Outlook. I guess I’ll check my email on the desktop for once and see if there’s more options like that.
They all have filters.
We use a service to send email because if you don’t it’s all categorized as spam. I guess your grampa Hotmail account circa 1997 didn’t pick up that message, so to speak.
Saw this on Newegg. $2300 for a video card. Ahem.
It drops to a bargain basement price (/s) of $1999 with the promo code!
Damn! Buy the limit of five, then! Woot!

Anyone with evga 30x0 cards getting a noise when a fan starts up? Just started noticing something the other day. At first was wondering if it was the aio, but from what I can tell it is when a fan on the 3070 kicks in. Looking online it appears it might be hitting a cable when it starts up.
Not me (3080), but that’s an entirely plausible scenario. If so, you may be able to see it if you unplug the card and manually spin the fans under a light.

This is what it does:
That noise when the last fan kicks in on this person’s video is what I hear.
Maybe a problem with how they built these cards. I will have to pull it out and take a look.
Yeah, that absolutely sounds like it’s clipping a cable and then is pushed out of the way. It SHOULD be an easy fix if you can find it.
Dell has their Black Friday in July with this Alienware with a 3070 for $1899. I got the other one listed for $2199 with a 3080.

For any Canadians building a Mobilesuit Gundam themed PC this seems like a great bundle deal as long as you settle for Intel:

Great deals. Thats close to what I paid for my 3080 build from NZXT last November. Prices getting better it seems. Woot for everyone!
Edit: well maybe not as besides the video card those are weakky specced. 256 gb ssd/etc. Still seems lower priced than a couole months ago.
They do usually allow a swap for larger SSD in addition to or in place of the 1TB disk drive. It’s like a $50 fee to go to 500 GB.
Still, the ease of upgrade is there too.
Seems the 3080 I ordered back in september might go EOL before they manage to deliver. I called the shop, and they offered… fuck-all. I could pony up the difference for a different unit or sit and wait and see what happens.
So what do you guys think? Give those fuckers another 600 euros and finally finish the PC I started to build last summer? Or wait it out, see if things get better?

Hmm. Im torn on that. I suspect your chances of getting the first one to be slim to none. If you pay the upgrade to go back in que, keep yous spot or? How long till you could get that one in other words? Maybe pay the upgrade and keep looking elsewhere. What is their cancellatikn pokicy?
