Wow so 17,000 cards, around 150 per store.

Reddit seems to think it’s the same stores that got inventory last drop. Which means I’m about 15 minutes away from one… at this point, don’t think I care enough to camp out though.

I’m sure people are already lining up now but if it’s 150 per store then the odds are good.

Page is back up.

Heh. Nothing near Kansas City. One in the outskirts of Springfield, MO, one in the outskirts of St. Louis, and one in Wichita, KS. Two of them 3 hours drive, one a 4 hour drive.

Huh. Store about 20 minutes from me.

Yeah but you’re too late, there are already 100 unemployed/paid line waiters/ebayers/college students in line!

FTFY…

Stopped at the Liberty Best Buy near KC. Manager said they recieved none

Meanwhile there are about to be 150 cards going up on eBay by user libertybbmgr007

Heh, probably. ā€œHell is other people,ā€ as Sartre supposedly wrote. :-\

General reddit thread on the lines:

People started waiting at 3pm yesterday. Some lines 150+ people long.

Well over 200 here in Rochester, NY.

There are close to 300 people here at 6am at the Tucson best buy.

Ebay has almost a full page of new posts, with reseller markups of $1000 over msrp. Impressive!

So… this seems unnecessary

Probably be $3k at current crazy prices.

Nvidia’s yields are improving so they’re building (and assumedly stockpiling) more fully-enabled GA102 chips. They can either

a) Sell them as RTX3090s
b) Create a new RTX3090ti (or maybe Titan) SKU and make more money

My son got the last 3070 at the store near us. He’s been using my old 1070 because his 2070 died. He didn’t get over there until after 7:30

Finally pulled the trigger on 3060Ti, the price actually came down quite a bit from a couple of months ago (but still above MSRP). It looks like it will have to tide me over till 2023 (IF I LIVE THAT LONG HAHAHA damn you covid). This actually tipped the scale for me (i.e. no point waiting for the price to come even further down):

LOL, imagine gpu MSRP prices going up now.

Anyone still looking for a card? I just got notified on the EVGA queue for the 3060 XC gaming. That queue must be going at a good clip, I think I was 2 months behind about 2 months ago. Sounds bad but that’s actually really fast.

Funny thing is, you guys in America have enough of a market that you actually have options.

Me, I think I’m going to have to buy a prebuilt from a local shop, they’re starting to only sell GPU’s on their prebuilts, making sure to balance the stuff people want with stuff people aren’t buying as much.

And I’m going to pay through the nose for it.
