Where the hell do you buy CD's online?

Well?

I used to use cdnow until they got bought up by amazon. What else is there?

28 views and not one response! Don’t you people listen to music?

I use Amazon.

I would guess your other 28 viewers are the ones driving the RIAA’s poor beleaguered member companies out of business… ;-)

Actually, I don’t buy many CDs. The ones I’ve gotten recently have been from direct mail from the artists. Every once in a while I go into a brick and mortar store to browse. Other music I listen to is from free DL from some site like mp3.com – and that mostly implies the track is coming from some obscure artists who are willing to allow free DLs.

Last two CD’s, I got from Amazon.

When I buy online I go to Amazon. Sorry. I’m now going to the tattoo parlor to have “Lamah” put on my forhead.

you may try www.cdnowpbc.com … if you dig into the faq on the cdnow/amazon stuff, you get pointed to that site, which has the old, familiar cdnow interface… i’m not certain whether the prices are a match vs. their amazon pricing, or if it’s still all going through amazon, but it would seem that old accounts at least work there… mine does.

Now THAT’S what I’m talkin’ about!

Thanks…

That was me.

I use Amazon or Barnes & Noble online. I was using B&N more because of the free shipping on 2 items or more until Amazon came up with the free shipping on $25 deal. If the price is roughly equal I prefer to patronize Amazon as I think it’s a better website.

Buy.com

Can we chalk up Ignatius P. Reilly’s posts above as the first time someone has posted anonymously and then followed up with a “that was me” post but still as anonymous guest?

Nope.‘John’,the X-Box fanboy was there first.
