Twilight Struggle, same as the other thread. It was promised to be released “definitely before Christmas, 2012”,and there have been no updates from GMT since. I fear that if it does eventually make it out, it will be unfinished and broken.
Titanfall. Looks supercool, but also really looks like it’s not my kind of thing.
Also, any of the new iterations of EA sports franchises. Always hard to tell if there’s any actual innovation, yet also hard not to cave to at least one.
Saints Row 4. SR3 was the perfect amount of over-the-topness. I’m worried 4 is going to go way too far and end up being silly.
Runner up: Star Citizen, I very much doubt they can pull off what they’re claiming the game will be. I feel like I heard the same claims with Freelancer, which failed to deliver, many years ago.
Freelancer delivered a good game in my opinion.
Europa Universalis IV, coming out next month in fact. I put in hundreds of hours into the last one, and consider it to be the best game on PC. I am scared that this one won’t have the same magic effect on me.
Don’t get me wrong, the game looks to be fantastic, but as they say: hype disappoints, and absolute hype disappoints absolutely.
The same game that I’m most looking forward to, I’m worried that Hex may not live up to the hype and be a very expensive disappointment for me.
I am most afraid of Elite Dangerous because i dont want it to be a buggy mess
The other upcoming game that scares the bejeesus out of me is rome2 because it will suck up so much time, time i dont have.
I’m in fear for my life that the Witcher 3 will own my soul for months.
Star Citizen for me. I worry the worlds electricity supply will all get used up when all those wanting to play SC switch on their new super powerful rigs for the first time :(
(Also i have a double worry - i doubt i will have a PC powerful enough to play it when i receive it, and i probably won’t upgrade just for that one game)
