Nice opening. I guess we’ll be seeing another Wayans’ Brothers movie next year.
Did anyone see it? I hated the trailer, but it got really good reaction every time it would show before a movie.
It’s gotten some of the worst reviews I’ve seen in a long time. Do people really want to see this flick?
No plans to see it. I imagine a movie packed with too many “big girl attacking a surprised man” moments.

Shrek 2 made a ridiculous amount of money.
And Terminal didn’t. Who would have thought the Hanks/Spielburg combo wouldn’t be a blockbuster?

Every time I’ve seen previews or commercials about it, I feel physically ill. I’m not sure if its because the premise insults me, the idea that people find it funny is insulting, or the Wayans’ as women turn my stomach.
The bad/funny news about those numbers. Fahrenheit 9/11 only opened in 800-something theaters, while White Chicks opened in more than 4000 nationwide.
This movie is bullshit and a sign of the times plain and simple.
I want to make a movie called Black Chicks in which two really nerdy white guys dress up as sistah girls and get into some zany adventures in black face! They could sing some really funny rap songs and not know the words and all sorts of hilarity would ensue.
Just picture this movie in reverse and tell me that the entire nation would not catch on fire by the mere thought of it much less its execution. I understand from what I saw of the reviews that White Chicks not only works on stereotypes towards white people but in reverse as well, and takes shots at just about everyone in between. That, of course, still doesn’t make it right and still doesn’t mean a movie that would reverse that situation would be touched with a ten foot pole by any studio in America but of course we can certainly make this movie in today’s market.
Did I mention it is bullshit?

NO NO he OD’ed on tanning pills, C. Thomas Howell was the name. He courted Rae Dawn Chong, so in essence, a white dude pretending to be a black dude (while really looking like he was from India) courted a black chick with a Chinese name. Culture blast!

That’s actually where I saw it. Wish I could remember the name. All I really recall is JEJ leading some hair-metal looking dirt biker into a barn, or something.
