You know, you guys are really going out of your way to slam Gates here. He’s saying that the future of PC gaming is Windows, as opposed to DOS. That rings pretty true to me, even ten years later.

Well gratulations. Still no need to be an unreasonable zealot, though. It reflects poorly on those of use who use linux because it’s, you know, better, as opposed to those of us who use it because we just hate Microsoft sooooo much damn them!
But don’t you see… because of Gates’ monopoly, my business fixing Windows problems was able to grow and prosper, making me well off enough to afford to complain about Microsoft! Does that make sense?

Internet Explorer is derived from Spyglass Mosaic, an early commercial web browser. In 1995, Spyglass Mosaic was licensed by Microsoft in an arrangement under which Spyglass would receive a quarterly fee plus a percentage of Microsoft’s revenues for the software.
