I see there’s an excellent program for the MAC called connect360 that will allow you to easily stream iTunes content to the 360. Does TVersity do this too?
Ok I totally don’t understand this. I got it all installed and it seems like it has no benefits whatsoever over the built in dashboard for the xbox360.
It doesn’t really delineate files/folders like the xbox does natively and I don’t see any iTunes stuff. Am I missing something? Did I set it up wrong? (see screen-shot)
I’m messing around with it myself - I’d never heard of it before you posted. I’ll let you know what I find, but I think you have to find and queue up a particular file and then play it through your 360.
EDIT: It appears that you can’t use TVersity with video (probably audio too) you purchase from Itunes.
Are you seeing the TVersity media server on your 360?
Yep, but I had to reboot before I could see it.
I’ve never tried to stream my iTunes stuff jpinard, sorry bud. I use TVersity mostly for transcoding obscure video (read: TV shows that people post in ridiculous formats.)
Jerri, I think I’m going to uninstall it. I just don’t see any benefits to it right now over what I’ve already got.
The main reason to use TVersity is that it will transcode a whole mess of formats that the dashboard doesn’t natively support, both audio and video. It’ll play FLAC audio, for example.
