Maybe try one of the driver cleaner utilities?
Is this the same thing as the MS Authenticator 2FA app, which definitely does exist? (Note: I haven’t used it myself.)

I use a picture password for this reason.

Can the X360 Kinect be used with Windows 10, either natively or via some hacked driver magic? I’d be interested in giving Cortana voice and Windows Hello a shot, but the only info I’ve been able to dig up is regarding Kinect v2 via an adapter.

If I’ve got access to both Win10 Pro and Win10 Enterprise, is there any reason not to go with Enterprise on a new install? The internet seems to say that the two are basically with the same with some added features (including security settings) in Enterprise for IT management.

Go with enterprise, it lets you turn off the telemetry.
Yep. I’m buying a copy of Win10 for Education today from work for precisely the reasons you and stusser lay out (Education’s based off the Enterprise SKU according to Wikipedia).

Yep, the EDU version also allows you to disable the telemetry, probably because it’s illegal to track kids under the age of 13.

I swear to god I heard Paul Thurrott complain about there not being one for Windows Phone. Maybe that was a long time ago or something. App downloaded.
Thanks.
Well, there’s the licensing issue. For instance, there’s no free upgrade path from non-Enterprise to Enterprise. You’ll need to have a MAK you can use to activate the Enterprise version; does your organization allow you to glom onto their volume licensing?
If for whatever reason you’re spooked by telemetry, and qualify for it, Education is an alternative as said above.

I have a Microsoft Action Pack subscription as part of my work, so no problem with the licensing.

Absolutely none of that data is beyond what Microsoft clearly states in the privacy policy and telemetry FAQ.
Simply knowing how many people are performing basic actions (without getting any information about what users actually see as a result of those actions) is telemetry diagnostics 101. Literally every competent software company on earth collects metrics like that, and most aren’t opt-out.

Wow, so Microsoft crafts an article showing data of only the variety they claim to collect, and thus we should all agree “Yep, they are good to their word! Corporations are people too, and we wouldn’t want to hurt their feelings by thinking they might be collecting more than they are stating!”
Phew, you fought the good fight stusser, but you’re off the hook now. Ignore the line in the article that states “While it is unclear what data is exactly collected”.

I take my cell with me all over the house these days mainly in case my children need to contact me. I guess the benefit is that I have it when I go to my computer so I have all my authentication apps with me as a result.
My problem is that not every site allows a one code backup if you lose your phone.
Have you checked out the comment section? It’s lone gunmen territory! Serious tin foil hat people. Hell, there is whole section of replies talking about the evils of chrome and how we are all doomed.
Anyway, that level of paranoia always freaks me out.

Chrome sends searches, crash reports, and other miscellaneous telemetry (button clicks, etc) to Google-- but they let you turn it all off. That’s what pisses me off about Windows 10. Not that they have telemetry, or even that the telemetry is active by default. It’s that they refuse to allow me to opt-out, then have the gall to tell me it’s for my own good. The sheer arrogance is infuriating.
Same shit as Windows 8 when they screwed over desktop users in a desperate attempt to gain mobile marketshare. They can justify anything to themselves, customers be damned.
