It is as if they are trying to force you to buy a new phone, so that too can be unpatched and vulnerable, seems like a winning strategy. I’m tempted going iphone next, cause the patch regime on Android coupled with Googles data-siphoning activities is just, shite. Guess I could try rooting the phone.

Windows Update wasn’t offering me 1903, which I needed for PC Game Pass.
The solution if you want it before WU is ready to provide it is to install the Windows 10 Update Assistant:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
So far 1903 has been trouble-free on my two home rigs.
Had the same issue. Only took about 4 days to get the upgrade to succeed!

1809 screwed up my rig with occasional bootloop, so I am taking the plunge to 1903 early. Let’s see how it goes…
Appreciate that link! I was finally able to upgrade Windows 10 from 1803 to 1903. So far so good. I mainly did it so I could upgrade iCloud, which is available in the MS Store now but requires latest OS build.
I ran a scheduled windows update last night, and today I got my first BSOD. I don’t want to blame windows but…

Same here… Haven’t seen blue screen in years, but since the update yesterday my laptop is laggy and I got a BSOD while simply watching a video file.
My wife gets a bluescreen about 1 out of 3 times she brings her laptop out of sleep mode. Hilariously the error message it shows has to do with a bug in the windows store, and when you google the error string it seems to be a somewhat common occurrence for some people lol.
I do think her machine has something on it that’s messed up and I keep meaning to reinstall windows.
Googling some stuff like Windows BSOD’s and Sims game problems is annoying… way too many people who use it who are not technically sophisticated so way too much noise. Then there’s the spam and useless sites with useless solutions.
Ironicalyl obscure problems seem to yield better results.

fuckers. Now Windows 10 has upgraded me to a YELLOW screen of death. First time I’ve seen that. And yeah. Trying to reboot it at that time resulted in a more traditional blue screen.

Yellow screen of Death is just Blue Screen of Death suffering from jaundice. Your computer obviously needs more citrus.

The audio on my computer is hosed recently. From youtube to VLC it does this weird crackling and I have to reset balance and volume every single time.
I want to murder Windows 10. Or Chrome. Or both.
