Ctrl Alt Del!
Man! Why didn’t I think of that? Thanks!!
I ask all my customers with Win8 if they would like the Start MENU back. Then I install Classic Shell for them. That’s my mission now.
Because it’s not discoverable.

Apparently neither is the power button on your computer, or the home button on an iPad…

If the three-finger salute and the iOS home button are equally discoverable in your mind, something has gone deeply awry.
Great. The most annoying way to restar/suspend Windows is now the only way to do it!
Windows users have been trained not to use the power or reset buttons on their computers for the past 20 years. So while I would agree that yes, they are discoverable, in this particular case that doesn’t matter.

What I said was “the power button on the computer and the home button on the iPad”. Is the power button on your PC discoverable? How did you ever turn it on?
But yeah, Windows Key = home button these days.
Anyone who’s ever used an eMac for the first time will wonder the same thing. Apple hid that sucker well.
I also remember a certain garish case, given as a present to someone who was colour-blind and where the power button was in a not entirely obvious position.
Oops!
They’d be a shitload better if they used outlook data rather than having to also setup the crappy metro versions. More bad consumer interface choices bolted onto the enterprise software, and please don’t get me started with metro being on server 2012…
First haswell ultrabook preview. It’s a 15% to 60% battery life improvement, and that’s supposed to improve in windows 8.1. Haswell is living up to its reputation as an amazing mobile processor.
Sadly, the GPU side isn’t much improved. It doesn’t live up to the early rumors there.

It’s just an HD 4400, which has a modest increase in execution units per slice, but still the same number of slices as the HD 4000. Wake me up when an Ultrabook running a Core i7 4650u or other CPU with HD 5000’s get reviewed.

Gotta read more closely. The unit reviewed has the low-end GPU (Intel 4400) and the ULT processor. There are multiple levels of integrated Haswell graphics, and it’s the 5100 in the higher-end Haswell CPUs that will have the real speed improvements.
Yes, but those won’t be in ultrabooks. Best you’ll see is a HD5000, which is nowhere near an nvidia 650m and won’t play all those current console ports at equivalent console quality.
Those early rumors are met by the HD5200 GT3e Iris Pro, but you won’t see those in anything but retina macbook pros, maybe.

I hope by ultrabook, they don’t mean MacBook Air because I am really looking forward to HD5000 GPU in the next MacBook Air… /sorry, I know this is a Win 8 thread!
It probably will have a HD5000, like I said above. It most likely will not have a HD5200; too expensive.
There’s something wrong with your brain.

Clearly. That’s why I’m a millionaire with a wikipedia entry.

You might want to consider a moment of introspection. If someone else posted this, would you like that person?
