Does the latest version of WMP have a simple frame grab button so I can grab a pic from a video? Can’t find it if there is.

No, it does not. You have three options if you want to capture video stills, two if you want to capture video stills easily:

  1. Go to Tools >Options, Performance tab, click Advanced, and unset the “Use Overlays” checkbox. You can then press the Print Screen key to capture your desktop including the video.

  2. Or you can use a 3rd party screenshot tool that can capture overlays.

  3. Or you can use a video player that does have built in screenshot capabilities, such as VLC media player or BSPlayer.
