Thanks.
Well then I guess I meet the minimum requirements.
The price of freedom is eternal idiots.
You didn’t ask for the minimum, you asked for the number. You’ve exceeded it by about 60.
Anyway, we’re still waiting for one substantive argument from you. Just one. And not one filled with such golden rays of sunshine as, “We need to cut spending AND raise taxes to balance the budget,” or “Gee, I think all politicians are liars, fellas!” Come on, I’m almost 30% sure you can do it.
And yet again someone at QT3 fails to comprehend that disagreement does not equal the other person not having anything of substance to say. It shouldnt be that damn hard to understand, but it seems to be for some.
If he has something of substance to say, he should say it. Otherwise it’s just meaningless noise that detracts from the conversation rather than adds to it. That shouldn’t be that hard to understand, but it seems to be for some.
As an aside, in general you should.
Who even suggested that? As far as I can tell, Nitram doesn’t disagree with things so much as just say things that pop into his head. Here’s a telling exchange:
That’s called moving the goalposts, or as an impartial observer might put it, “admitting defeat.” I don’t even think you can find real republicans who won’t admit their own party has been the party of big government for the past decade. When putting his tail between his legs with that last post didn’t work, Nitram gave the classic “they’re all liars!” shrug. Why even bother posting anything?

I don’t even think you can find real republicans who won’t admit their own party has been the party of big government for the past decade.
I think lots of registered republicans think that. It’s one of the problems that many have with the republican party, especially under Bush.
They’ve waited through 326 of your posts for a substanstive argument and you bust my balls 4 times after I post less than 150?
You don’t have to read my posts if you don’t want to. Or you can continue to post lame insulting posts about me. Either way is ok with me.
And you should know as you’ve added 1400+ posts to the noise.
You’re doing it again, I think you’re doing it on purpose.
No I’m just accidentially posting on the internet. Of course I posted those on purpose. I assume the attack posts were also posted on purpose.

Jesus, just let the meta argument die already.

You know you’re doing something just as annoying as quote trees and at this point after many helpful forum members, better than me, have been helpful and explained etiquette on Qt3 (we’re not just all poo throwing monkeys!) I’m left to conclude that you’re ignoring that etiquette on purpose.
Waded through. That is, of course, beside the point. Attacking a person’s post count is a non-starter here. There are lovable lurkers and the gushing despised. Pariah Low-Postcount and Loudy McHivemind get equal play.
The best way to avoid activating this forum’s defenses is to take a breath before you post. Let a word in. Let a couple dozen words in.
When someone says you posted stupid, figure out why they did, adapt, make your arguments something worth discussion.
This is a reasonable board. This. Is. Kwa-ta (to Three).
Old habits die hard. I’m just use to posting to one person at a time. I will try to do better.
I’m don’t think my lack of etiquette skills is prompting the the posts directed towards me.
No, it’s the inanity of your posts combined with your total lack of desire to display a sense of etiquette.
Then again, I’ll thankfully not be plagued with your posts anymore, due to the lovely Ignore feature. So I have now stopped caring about our latest odious troll.

This was a sign outside of a Joint Finance Committee public hearing in West Allis today on the proposed 2011-2013 budget. The hearing was run by Republican State Senator Alberta Darling and Republican Assembly Representative Robin Vos, and one of four they scheduled in the state.

For a hearing that was scheduled to go from 10:00AM to 6:00PM. The banner and literature restrictions I don’t have a problem with, but the other stuff is ridiculous. The justification for the stroller restriction was because they could be used as a weapon, unlike the chairs everyone was sitting in I guess. One comment from a friend of mine was that her stroller could barely be used as a stroller.

Thank you Raife for posting something about the thread.
What’s the deal with that first rule?
“No exit or re-entry allowed”? You can’t even leave once you enter!

They didn’t want people who signed up to speak at 11:00AM and were scheduled to speak at 4:00PM to be able to leave and come back. No phones, no laptops, everything was pretty clearly designed to discourage people from attending and speaking.
