Breaking news is that Trump blocked a plan to rebuild the FBI building on cheap suburban land, after learning that he wouldn’t be allowed to purchase the land in downtown DC.
The government would have sold that land for hundreds of millions, but it would have went to commercial developers who might compete with Trump’s downtown hotel, which is located only a few blocks away
It’s almost like we shouldn’t allow Presidents to not divest themselves of these sorts of things.
How is this not impeachable?
I’m not trying to just jump on the usual outrage bandwagon. I’m just naively asking, how is this not flagrant corruption that should immediately bring an investigation?
Because literally nothing matters anymore.
You think the house or senate(both Republican controlled) are gonna get mad at him for something like this after everything else? Seriously, nothing matters anymore. R’s can do whatever they want, lie about it, change their story when it’s not taking, and then just say the Democrats are being sour.

It’s just the wrong question. Anything is impeachable. Impeachment is a political act, not a judicial one. If Congress has the desire and the will to impeach someone for eating a sandwich, they can. If Congress lacks the desire or the will to impeach someone for murder, they will not. Trump has done many things which violate law or accepted norms, but he will not be impeached by a Republican House no matter what he does, and he will not be convicted in a Senate with at least 34 Republicans no matter what he does.
