Unbelievable. Just… unbelievable. Most incredible that they are actually trying to help him, suggesting that they take the discussion in private, and he just keeps on ranting like a drunk person and spouting nonsense.
It just boggles the mind that 40% of people in the US can completely overlook how incompetent the man is, and approve of him as President. It’s enough to destroy anyone’s faith in the intelligence of humans.

Years ago there was a guy on Usenet who was a young-earth creationist and Velikovsky believer. He was always going on about how science has proven that diplodocus was too heavy ever to stand in a 1-g field and only the close proximity of Mars or Venus, with their counter-acting gravitational fields, could reduce the ‘felt effect of gravity’ to permit the existence of diplodocus. He was so mad that we were too dumb to grasp the argument.
That is amazing. What I love most about it is that my kid could have refuted that when he was nine.

After reading the bio, I have a short list of people I’ve met over time that were that level of loony. One in particular was an old coworker who I could see arguing crazy shit like this anywhere he could find a listener for it. That’s the thing, they seek out listeners. The know the real deal and are committed to tell it to others. So it isn’t surprising either that Ted appeared to do this chronically.
