Totally. Croatia just can’t get into the game and England are in control most of the time. You would expect Croatia to be able to assert themselves with the central midfield they have, but England is running rings around them.
Fatigue is probably playing their part. Croatia’s played a lot of football since last week.
So far! Hopefully it continues! England cant afford to be complacent against world class talent like Croatia has tho.

That’s what happens when you don’t have a dog in the fight - the one enjoyable aspect of Germany exiting the tournament uncharacterisically early is being able to watch matches for the pure pleasure of watching football without the trepidation of fearing for the team you support.
“Running rings around them” might have been a little strong, but England appear to be well in control to me, and it doesn’t seem like the Croatia coach has a plan to get his team into the driving seat. They did show more effort towards the end of the half and got closer to England’s goal, but i think this is England’s game to lose.
Finally a yellow card.
And yeah its hard to be objective.

I want England to win, as I’m English.
Otoh we’re insufferable when we’re winning.
Funny you should say that, i’m actually slightly rooting for Croatia here, for the sole reason that i think a potential World Cup win might lead to some nationalistic euphoria resulting in even more grandstanding and ultimately disappointment in the Brexit process.
Don’t worry, the Cup hasn’t been in England for loads, probably doesn’t have the proper documentation, it’s gonna get deported. :D
Then again, nationalistic euphoria hasn’t really been a force for good in the Balkans either.
